Troy, with his team Jamie and Jinette, were very helpful in getting us the best rate and helping to close on time! We had a great experience working with them in closing our dream home! :-)
David Brown did an excellent job helping me remortgage my home! I highly recommend him and his team. They are knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and just a wonderful group. Thank you again!
Great customer service, quick and easy re-fi! Emily and team were an absolute pleasure to work with. She listened to my needs and offered appropriate terms. The application process was simple and convenient. During our initial disclosure signing I noticed the interest rate was different then what we had discussed. I contacted Emily she gave me instructions on how to proceed and the issue was resolved. When it’s time for a new mortgage, I’ll 100% be contacting Homefinity for my needs.
David Brown & Darrell Davidson were great to work with. Informative, professional and quick to respond to inquiries. We were very pleased with the process and I highly recommend!
great experience working with homefinity and especially with Drew Green my loan officer. Drew made things so easy, everything went smooth, he is super quick in responding, and spent much time educating me in the process since it was my first time refinancing. he great customer service skills and made me feel I was in good hands which at the end it was proved to be true. I absolutely recommend Drew Green, his team (Chenoa, Drew’s loan coordinator) and homefinity to work with, no headaches, no back and forth, they respect my time, and they're quick, no hassles! I can’t believe they made this process so easy for me. Thank you Drew! You’re the best!
Update 9/12/21 - Loan Officer got back to me on 9/10 confirming 9/9 phone call I now need 15% down instead of the 5% that was agreed upon 8/17. I asked for the reason and he said I deserve one and I will find out. Loan went to underwriting on 8/31, so 10 days after that and a week before closing they let me know this. I can only assume that either the loan officer always knew 5% wasn't enough, lied to me and strung me along, or incompetence. Again not upset (disappointed yes) at the decision, but the timing of being informed this is horrid. No changes to my financial position since the process started August 17 when I offially applied and uploaded all documents. The process started on August 15 2021 to purchase a new home. After going over my situation the loan officer gave the okay to move forward. All the requested documents uploaded on August 17 and a several others uploaded along the way as they requested. Private Well inspection, home inspection, appraisal all completed on time. Close date is September 17 and no issues. Asked the loan officer on Thursday Sept 2 if anything to worry about and he said no. Fast forward to Sept 9 and I get a call saying the 5% down payment now needs to be 15%. Again nothing changed financially at all for me since the process began. Things actually improved as I received some seller credits. My credit score throughout the whole process has been in the 750s. My DTI with the mortgage is and always has been at 35% during the process so below the magical 36%. So a week before closing, with nothing changing for the 3 weeks, Homefinity just says we need 15% down, say what? Everything they knew from Day 1. Does not seem right. My complaint is all was known and now 8 days before closing they pull this. Loan Officer said let me look one more time at the file. I will update this review once all is decided one way or the other.
Reach out for further info if necessary Loan experience for refinance in state of WA Communication and promptness in replies to queries-----5 stars Speed of paper processing (disclosures, collection of documents)----5 stars Knowledgeable people---3 stars (not on the same page; loan officer gave information that was incorrect and completely thrown out by the document facilitator) BIGGEST drawback (perhaps no one might care but we did) for which we withdrew our refi application. They do not finance the loan and right away in the disclosure paper work will tell you that. So, while being upfront about it was nice, drawing potential customers in, running credit reports, and everything and not to mention even once that they won't finance came across as shady. For those who might not know, Fairway Mortgage (based out of WI) and Homefinity are one and the same, one retail and one digital (much like Quicken Loans). But for some weird reason, you have to agree that your loan will NOT be financed in-house, by the parent company and will be transferred/serviced right away to an unknown bank that the loan officer is not sure of. We were told to have to wait 30 days AFTER the loan would be funded to know which bank would be our actual lender. With so many horror stories of banks being well, banks, it would have been good to be informed up front about that. Anyways, I am not dissing HomeFinity itself. Yet, this seems more than shady to me. May be some of these five star reviewers were lucky and got the bank they wanted, in-house or not. But this is more of a warning that you might have to sign paperwork that says they will immediately transfer your loan (underwriting) to some entity you don't or won't know about until it is too late to back out (think of large corporate banks who give nothing but grief to its customers) after your loan has been funded AND pay-off already made with current bank.
I was so pleased with how smoothly the process went. Christine McKanna was a fantastic loan officer. I felt she was trustworthy and responsive and helped me think through decisions without any sort of pressure. Thank you!
We had a great experience with Homefinity. Billy Wynn was our Homefinity Loan Originator (NMLS#10832) and he took great care of us from initial contact through closing. Rates were the very best we could find. We had a few road bumps along the way from our end and they worked with us and always did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. Correspondences were prompt and concise. Thank you Homefinity team!! Great job!!
Good team to work with if you have good credit score and home has 20 % in equity
