Dang can't add a zero star. Not only is the secretary rude but a liar. But very quick to claim your application moneys. The apartment was nice, probably one that's set up to take a unlimited amount of application frees. I hope others have better luck

In response to kablah renee's review: I am the former tenant and her coworker that she is referring to. If you would like me to share a review from my personal experience, I would be happy to share it. My experience was terrible. Response time was bad, and sometimes I would get no response at all. I would call and be hung up on several times when I was put on "hold". My roommate and I were essentially forced out of our duplex when RIS decided to sell the property and not tell us. There was no communication about this unless we bugged them time and time again. We literally found a lockbox outside of our door for people to view the property when we were not home and were not informed or warned by RIS. I have nothing but bad things to say. It is blatantly obvious they do not care about their tenants at all. They said it themselves: "There is a lot that goes in to property management and the legality of managing property for other people who own it. We do stand up for our owners while upholding landlord/tenant law." What is most important to them is their owners, and not the tenants themselves. 0/5 stars. 0/10 do not recommend. Do not use this rental company.

Sep 10, 2022Rosa: Like you said, we do not own the property. If the owner of your duplex decided to sell his property and use an agent outside of our office, they have every right to do so. I do feel that you should have been notified and I do know for sure that you should have received 24 hour notice prior to any showings for sale. Again, we were not the agents involved in the sale. As a management firm, we would not put a lock box on a property for sale to insure that we were notified prior to any showing and that our tenant was notified. Again, if this didn't happen for you, I am sorry for you, but is was not RIS. It would be nice if you would find out the company name involved in the sale and give them your review, as they must deserve it if you are being truthful. As far as being hung up on accidentally, that's too bad. I have no idea what may have happened or who may have accidentally done that. If I was told right away, I could have at least trained that person better on the phones. I will say, that I own this company, and I might push a wrong button and not transfer someone correctly - we are human.
Difficult to work with from the beginning. Just to view a home was a mission. If you work during the day, they're not available evenings. They rarely answer the phone. Or text you back instead of calling. Maintenance was terrible. Receptionist was always moody, but the rest of the staff were real nice. Shadey with deposit once you move out.

Especially that grumpy receptionist ! :) I will point out though, that our maintenance department is made up of wonderful guys who pride themselves in their work. Maybe the owner of the property made some decisions you were not please with, but the RIS guys are awesome fella's. Kimberly

Horrible management, unresponsive and disrespectful to tenants. Edit: In response to the response to me, I have never been a tenant with you but word carries so much and you infuriated a coworker of mine who was happy to share how horrible you treated her... you should be aware word gets around.

This is the problem with Google reviews-anyone can leave one. Response: That does explain why I can not find you as a customer of ours. I would think most people reading reviews would want personal experience. For example: My bestie hates LaPaz, but I absolutely love it. It is not a helpful review for me to share how my friend feels but of course it is a very helpful review to tell the public what my experiences have been at that business. Just my opinion. There is a lot that goes in to property management and the legality of managing property for other people who own it. We do stand up for our owners while upholding landlord/tenant law. That is the business we are in. You have a great day.

This place is very helpful and they're extremely willing to listen to you. I'm happy renting from them and they're very understanding when you have a problem, and they've given good service when needed for me. In response to the Reply: Of course! You guys are the first people I've ever rented from and I've had nothing but positive things here. The neighbors are nice, the location is convenient and I've had no problems with my unit.

Looking for apartment wanted some info about these hows the crime rate neighbors are they pest free including foundation anything like that

Aug 10, 2022Jacob- as already discussed, you were actually given multiple notices. You chose to store your personal belongings in a public and unauthorized space, then ignored notices to remove said belongings from that space. This leaves your situation at fault of yours, not the landlord.
