My car was brought to this shop twice by CarMax, the first time was for diagnostics and a possible electrical issue, when I asked about the time line due to needing to go to an event out of town I was told by the tech who was assigned to work on my car "I'll get to it when I get to it" in managements defense they told me they would rectify the situation and speak with the tech, the car was sent back to have a full engine swap, it was sent with the engine and I was told it would likely be "late next week" as time goes on I would get updates on everything, but when I was told I should have my car back the next day I got suspicious as I drive past their lot daily to take my wife to work, and the car hasn't moved, hadn't been touched, so I called and asked how far along they were on the car, the same tech who I had an issue with before spoke to me again and at first told me the car was almost done, but when I pointed out that it didn't look like they had touched the car at all he backtracked and tried to explain that they were super busy and my car would be the next one on the lift but that i was correct that it hadn't been touched, i understand being busy, i understand not being able to do everything at once, i don't understand being lied to, and in the end after everything was done, my car has a check engine light on, I've already taken the car elsewhere for work, I would not trust them to touch your car, honesty and integrity are important and these guys don't have it

Hawthorne, I apologize about your experience with my shop. I take all complaints and reviews seriously here at Christian Brothers. I am well aware of this situation and the frustration you had after buying a vehicle and 3 hours later it needs an engine. I talked with my service advisor and the manager you talked with and addressed your concerns the first time as well as when you brought it back in for the engine to be replaced. We try to meet or exceed all of our customers expectations but unfortunately we came up short meeting your expectations with your vehicle. We do great business with our partners at Carmax and we try to help expedite repairs when they are too busy to address issues in a timely manner. In doing so, we try to help out by diagnosing the vehicles in timely manner since these are vehicles that have been purchased within the last 90 days from Carmax. My understanding was that Carmax was 3 weeks out to look at your car and we completed a engine replacement in 2 weeks. Being blessed with a busy shop unfortunately some repairs that were scheduled before your car took longer than expected and we also were waiting on turbo lines from Ford but we were able to meet the day we said it would be completed and delivered the car back to Carmax with no Engine light on at the time of delivery. That doesn't offset the fact that you felt you were lied to do because integrity and transparency are 2 of the pillars we pride ourselves on. We will take your experience and use this as an example on how we need to do a better job in communicating expectations with our valued guests. Sorry for the frustration you have had with this vehicle and Christian Brothers but it is never our intent to lie to any of our customers. Sorry I didn't call you but unfortunately we have no contact info on file since this was billed and done through Carmax. Feel free to call me directly if you need to address this issue any further.
