My wife and I spent month researching trucks before buying the Ram. Very happy with the truck, and Goss service department is terrific. This has been the best "Shelburne Road" experience I have had in 25 years. Keep it up!

We brought in a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan to Goss Dodge, South Burlington, VT, in February 2023; believing the transmission was slipping. The milage was below the 100,000 miles and the date was before the extended warranty expiration mileage and date. They fixed a valve issue under warranty; however, it did not really address the transmission. Here it is approximately 9 months later and the transmission assembly needs to be completely replaced to the tune of $7,000. We have requested coverage assistance from customer service/Dodge or Chrysler Cares. In looking on line; it appears that replacing the transmission should cost approximately $3,500... regarding any warranty issue; we had been told to have issues documented for any issues in case the issues were not resolved prior to the expiration date... in addition to the fact that transmission issues have been documented in other years prior to the 2017 model year, there has been a transmission recall for certain 2016 Grand Caravans and, even on a good day, they appear to be adequate for 200,000 miles instead of a standard 300,000 miles according to our mechanic. It is obvious we should have done more research; in our defense, the Grand Caravan was brought into Dodge for a transmission issue prior to the mileage and date of the extended date expiration. We feel that Dodge should consider working on a resolution for the transmission and make an effort to assist in the correction of this transmission. We are appealing this issue for review.

In looking into your concern, we found it has been +9,000 miles and nine months since you were last here. When we looked at your vehicle in February you didn’t have any transmission symptoms, codes, or low/dirty transmission fluid. We did find your engine misfiring due to valve cover leaking into spark plug hole which was covered under your service contract. You have been driving your vehicle since with no reported problems. We are more than happy to advocate on your behalf to seek Consumer Goodwill Assistance from the manufacturer. As far as the cost of the repair, we quote all repairs based on a standard labor time guide with original equipment parts. The price you were quoted from your local mechanic was not for an original equipment new/reman transmission. If you would like an aftermarket or used assembly, we should be able to be competitive with the $3500 quote you received. Please contact our service manager if you would like us to start the steps to seek goodwill assistance. Thank you for your business and look forward to assisting you.

The process of buying a new truck was really easy at Goss Dodge. Chris my sales man found the best truck for me and my needs. Followed up by Kyle the finance manger that got me approved and into my new truck fast. Nothing but great things to say about the staff and Goss Dodge as a whole. I would recommend them to anyone.
