I really appreciate the online appointment request process. It was easy to use, gave me plenty of room to describe my issue and concerns, and the turnaround time for the confirmation was extremely quick. I needed a wheel balance prior to a long drive in a couple of days and Sullivan Tire really came through for me. When I was physically in the store the technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and very agreeable to answering any question I had. My issue was resolved for a fair price. Thank you!

Had an engine emergency on the highway this morning. Pulled off the nearest exit into Sullivan and they immediately took care of my car and got me right back on the road. Highly recommend… and thank you!!!

Spent $1000 on a repair that didn't solve the problem. When I took it back, they said go to the dealer. No refund no nothing just $1000 wasted. Never giving them my business again.

May 2, 2024Hello Shane, thank you for bringing this experience to our attention. The last invoice we could find was from November 2023. We would be happy to look into this further if you could please confirm the vehicle information and also if you went to the dealership. Is the vehicle still having issues? Please feel free to email us at customerrelations@sullivantire.com. Thank you!
Very upsetting experience today at Sullivan Tire in Dover. I went in to get a tire patched and put back onto my brand new car. I dropped it off at 7:30 am and asked to have it back by 3:00 pm, no rush. I received a call at 11:30 am telling me my car was all set and that I could come pick it up. Two minutes later, they called me back to tell me they were sorry but that my keys had been blocking the notes from the technician and that my car was not ready to be picked up. In fact they could not fix my tire with the nail in it and told me I needed 4 new tires before I could be given my car back instead. The service manager on the phone told me with brand new cars, the tires they give you on a new car aren't meant to last long and aren't the best quality it's time for new tires at only 25k miles. I asked him to quote me and he told me he would call me back. I really started to question this while waiting for the quote as I was just at my dealership earlier this month doing my routine maintenance which includes checking the tires, etc which they told me looked great and were in good condition. My tread could not have been worn down that aggressively in 2 weeks. When they called back, they quoted me at $984 for mid level tires to fit my car. I said I would have to think about it as I was not expecting to pay for 4 new tires today, to which he said I can bring it down to $680 for you to do it today. At that point, I knew they were trying to take advantage of me being a woman and assuming I didn't know anything about tires when I simply needed to have a perfectly good tire patched from a nail and nothing more. Shame on you Sullivan Tire for trying to do that to me as a female and knowing I needed my car to get somehwere later in the day. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to get me to buy brand new tires just because I came in for a simple patch that was fixed later by a different honest place thinking I didn't know anything about cars. I will never be bringing my business there again.

Apr 25, 2024Hello Phebe, It's important to us that our customers feel confident in the services we provide. At Sullivan Tire, we follow the guidelines set by the Tire Industry Association (TIA) and the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association for all tire repairs. In review of the photos of your tire injury, we stand behind the recommendation that the tire was NOT repairable. Following the guidelines, we found there was damage to the inner liner of the tire and the location of the injury was too close to the sidewall and should be taken out of service. Your 2023 Kia has over 26K miles and has the Original Equipment tires on it. Those can typically last about 30K miles and are currently at 4/32 left of tread. In review of the owners manual of your vehicle, on page 490 (7-50), it is best to replace tires in a set of 4. If that is not possible, or necessary, then replace front or rear in a pair. Replacing only one tire can seriously affect the handling of the vehicle. We know not all service centers follow the same guidelines as Sullivan Tire, the TIA or USTMA. We would still recommend to get the tire replaced, at a minimum in a set of 2. If you have about 4-5 minutes, the following video produced by the Tire Industry Association is really informative and goes into greater detail about the difference in tire repairs and what is/is not repairable. TIA VIDEO ON TIRE REPAIRS: https://youtu.be/mdTAalpkSLM We are so sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your experience and we hope after the further explanation above, there is an understanding why we made the recommendations we did.

Absolutely run from this location. I have been going there for years. The service now is atrocious. Oil change, tire balance and rotation. Put my car on the lift incorrectly and crushed the rocker panel. Had to be reminded to balance the tires. Doing the oil change, snapped off bolts, so they zip tied the metal shield in place. 100 point inspection, should be 102. Radiator hose leaking. Never told about. And a caliper needs to be replaced. No, was not told. Filed a claim with their insurance and it was denied. I am done. I will be talking to my lawyer and the BBB.
