This shop is run by the Williams family - James, Tom, Jacob. Incredible people. While a generalist shop - they helped me dial in my tuned BMW 340ix.. suspension overhaul (upgraded shocks, struts, u/l control arms), braking system (upgraded rotors, pads, lines, fluid flush), fueling (upgraded HPFP, plugs, coils). They allowed me get in there and get my hands dirty with them.. come in with my own torque specs and instructions.. and by allowing me to do so.. saved me thousands of dollars (probably ~$5-7k) over what I would have spent at a BMW specialized indy. I’ve sent friends here for minor stuff.. and the guys have just fixed it for free. Gooddeal will be my forever shop as long as I live in KC.
Best place to take your vehicle they do very good work and they've helped me out more than I'd ever ask for. I won't take my vehicle anywhere else.
I had a great experience with the Good Deal Auto Team. I had a “Check Engine Light” appear on my Ford Fusion and I had taken it to another shop (Before I knew how great Good Deal Auto was!) and was quoted for a bunch of work that wasn’t necessary. I met one of the owners of Good Deal and brought it into them. You can tell they really care about the person behind the wheel - They found the issue and corrected it for me! Honest, great pricing. They have a raving fan in me and my family for all our future Auto Service needs!
It initially started well. They did quick work at a reasonable price. Then we had an issue where they didn’t get it fixed and we had to return it a couple of times. Now when we are trying to get a car in for work, they wouldn’t return a message for over a week. I’ve tried to be patient with these guys. I think their intentions are good. In the end there just has to be better customer service than this
Great Service! I will be using Good Deal for all my future car repairs and maintenance.
Lenghty post. I had bought a new motor from dahmer powertrain for my 2010 dodge ram. Took out the old motor and put the new one in my driveway, took 4 days. Long story short they gave me a bad motor and I didn't have time to do it all again so I was just going to have good deal do it. Convenience factor played here as I live literally 1 min away from the shop. While it was there I asked them to do a few other things (redo my exhaust and replace ball joints) and I want to preface by saying that I had had a shop do my exhaust previously and they did it wrong and I was constantly having to weld it back on so I asked the shop before agreeing if they couldn't do it right I would take it somewhere else, no big deal. They said they got me. Process took them around 2 weeks to complete and I will say they were pleasant during this time as we were both having to deal with dahmer powertrain to pay for their services as they sold me a bad motor. Get my truck out of the shop and payed around 5,000 for all the extras and part of labor. Here's where the problems start clanging in the front and popping sounds. Ball joints were not greased, oil is now leaking out of my head gasket, they didn't even connect the exhaust to my motor at all which caused my muffler to crack which they wanted to charge me over 300 to fix, their welding is horrific and they cut the tips of my exhaust and didn't even put them on straight. Thousands of dollars for poor quality work and don't even want to offer to make things right. I would also like to say that my husband bought a new truck and took it there to fix a fuel leak and look things over. Paid a couple thousand dollars, still had a fuel leak and things were zip tied together under the truck. Had to fix the fuel leak ourselves. I do not recommend bringing a vehicle here for any major work to be done. Quality is not there.

Nov 25, 2023Lainey we are not going to warranty out an exhaust that you damaged I still have photos of the impact and crack on the muffler. Nothing with our welds failed the muffler took the impact and cracked from something hitting it. If we didn't connect the exhaust, it would've sounded terrible the moment it was fired up to leave the shop not weeks down the line after you hit something in the road. That also why your exhaust tips are not sitting straight anymore. If your head gasket is leaking then I would give the company that sold you the motor a call. Also looking over the receipt for James's truck I saw we charged him around 160.00 to repair his fuel neck if you had an issue, you should've brought it back in, we always warranty parts that are defective. As far as zip ties yes, we do use those if the original hardware is damaged or missing to keep things from being where they would not be. I'm also seeing that you paid around 2900, warranty from Dahmer paid the rest. If your going to tell the story tell the full story including the weeks arguing for you with your warranty company and even working around your interlock device.
Very trustworthy and honest mechanics. They’re helping me get a cheap used van up and running. They’re very no-nonsense and thorough with their diagnostics. Prices are 35% to 50% cheaper than at a chain-store garage. They do a great job at getting you in and out quickly while providing quality work. I’m glad to have found these guys and would recommend them to anyone.
quick service, great guys very personal. Explain things that need to be done and give an estimate right then. have both of our vehicles serviced with them for different things.
Great service at great prices. Had my car towed there because it was basically dead. Asked them for an assessment to just make it drivable and expected it to be around $1500 or so. Called me back with a quote under $900! Super stoked to hear that number! Highly recommend these guys.

I have been taking my vehicle's there for years. Hands down the best service, cost and honesty. Never felt taken advantage of. Was even told of more cost effective ways to fix vehicle's. If yourcnot using them your throwing money away.
