I had my Chrysler 200 towed to John Hoffer because they are a Chrysler dealer and my car had engine and body damage after an accident. I am use to getting an estimate the same day. The service department manager (engine) said take it to the body shop. The body shop manager said take it to the service department. Both didn't have good things to say about each other and I'm the customer. I don't need to know about your internal problems, just fix my car! They stated they were way behind and couldn't get me an estimate right away. It took over a week and a half to get an estimate! This even included me calling multiple times and involving the general manager. This also including my insurance adjuster going to their shop and writing up the body shop estimate. He needed help on the engine estimate. They finally come back and tell me that it is totaled. My insurance adjuster talks to me and says he isn't very happy with their bill. Initial cost to tell me that my car was totaled came in at $2300! To tell me the car was totaled! This included the tow bill. I understand that. This includes the diagnostics on the engine. I understand that. This includes a repair cost. I don't understand that. They were also charging around $60 a day for storage! Why would they ever hurry on an estimate when they get $60 a day for storage. Horrible experience. Tons of phone calls and many new gray hairs. Our shop is over capacity currently and we are doing all that we can to take the very best care of our customers as humanly possible. Unfortunately, your vehicle sustained two different types of damage, one being engine/mechanical and cosmetic. Your vehicle was towed in without being scheduled. Our service department is a very busy shop and we were trying to get your car in to inspect the damages, however, we cannot put another great customer that had been scheduled on pause to put you in ahead of them. Once again, please accept our sincerest apologies for your experience.
I was looking for a new car and John Hoffer (I worked w Mike and Kevin) so I had one built to my specifications. Mike kept me up to date on where my Jeep Grand Cherokee was in the building process in a timely manner. I came earlier than expected and when it arrived there were a couple scratches and a defect on the windshield from manufacturers and Mike ordered my new windshield and set up a date to fix the scratches. I couldn't be more pleased w the level of personal care and I wouldn't buy a vehicle from any other dealership! Our family has bought all our vehicles from Hoffers for 4 generations!! Took my 2009 jeep wrangler in there on 4/3/2019 told the service person to preform the 5 year warranty inspection and oil change. They did not do the inspection and now my engine blew and my warranty is null and void. Do not trust the service department!

Sep 25, 2023An inspection 4 years back in 2019 on your Jeep Wrangler would not guarantee and issue that arises here in 2023. Sorry for any issue your 2009 Wrangler has now.
I want to thank everyone : Mike, Greg and kevin. This is my first time to buy a car out of state and i know it is a difficult decision to make , but i see how everyone is honest ,clear and professional selling me the car without even seeing it or test drive it. I had an excellent purchasing experience even being 500 miles away. I trust them and buy the car over the phone and they worth this trust. They always have a quick response to any questions even if they were off that day , kevin respond to my email on his day off and i do really appreciate his consideration and time . I want to thank Mike for his help and support in this purchase from the very beginning and his follow up to make sure that everything went good with the shipping and that i like the car after I received it. Thanks everyone for making the process of buying a car out of my state easier than i thought. I definitely recommend this dealership.
