Open communication on the whole process from start to closing. Intercostal was quick to fix any errors in documentation to not delay or postpone closing. Smooth process
Jeff and his Team are excellent, really professional and helpful. We had some unexpected bumps in our finances, and they help us through the process of deciding for the best option or us, and they helped us getting together all paperwork that was really hard for us to get. I just purchased my North Carolina forever home. I was referred to Beth at Intercoastal Mortgage and my experience was excellent. The entire staff at Intercoastal Mortgage were friendly informative and on top of everything from end to end through the mortgage process. Their online mortgage and document tool made the process easy.
TJ and his team were honest, thorough, and kind. They explained everything and we had no surprises on our super fast closing.

Hi all, I recently encountered one of the worst experiences especially as a first time home buyer! I was using Jackie Wampler out of the Raleigh, NC location and at first things were fine. But I should have known, when I first inquired about the education and just wanting to know more about the process and everything I needed but she went ahead and ran my credit. I was approved which was great but I was not seeking that at that current time. So I received my preapproval letter June 2021 and went under contract the 10/27/21, during that time Jackie changed my loan type without ANY explanation. Friday 10/29 the inspection happened and due diligence was paid and the following Monday 11/1, Jackie changed the loan type so therefore I lost $1500 and had to back out of the deal! I reached out, my realtor reached out and no CLEAR answer was provided other. I emailed Jackie 11/3 and have yet to hear back from her or her staff. I've had the same preapproval letter from June to October with same employer, same pay, same pay stubs, same accounts, great credit and good income so why couldn't she answer why it changed?!! Why would she allow me to go through this contract and lose money? I thought the lender was suppose to have my best interest as well. Monday 11/1/21 was the second time I've talked to her on the phone and it was no apologies, she asked if I talked to my realtor about terminating the contract on their end so it doesn't look bad on my credit! That was all she said! Also, she and Mr. Wampler misquoted each other as well. He mentioned my closing cost would be 5500 and she advised me 6500, she would also ask me for things multiple times after I've already sent her the information or uploaded it to her portal. For example, I would send her an email at 9am and she would ask me for the same information around 3. I really needed Intercoastal help and all I got was mislead, no apologies and most important no REFUND! My new lender, has explained everything to me and tried to answer the questions Jackie could not!
5 stars to Jawad, Zaid and Cristian who made the refinance process seamless. They took extra trouble to answer all our questions and advised on how to navigate the situation and get a great rate!!
