Specialty Auto was so easy to work with. Tyler and Mark are great communicators and answered all my questions quickly and thoroughly. We bought a Chevy Bolt EV from them and they made sure all of the paperwork was complete and timely. We did all we could ahead of time so car pickup was easy and fast. Highly recommend!
Drove 2 hours to look at a black suburban lt because my wife liked the color and it had most of the options she wanted. It had a couple of very large rust spots, tires were completely dry rotted and not safe to be on the road, needed all new shocks and the interior was trashed by a dog. I had talked to them the entire week prior and none of this was mentioned also none of the damage was shown in pictures online. Then when asked what we thought about it I told him it had all sorts of damage and needed work and that we weren't really interested the only way we would be interested is if the price was considerably less. I'm assuming it was the owner or manager walked up and told us we were being unreasonable multiple times rather than just saying no we can't do that and letting us leave. I told him every time I understand if you cant go down that low it's just what would make us interested based off of the damage and the work that it needed. We ended up walking out and going to another dealership. We purchased a extremely clean silver higher trim model (LTZ) year newer with 21,000 less miles for $1,000 more than they were willing to do. I leave honest reviews based on my experiences. I will add this is only the second negative review I have ever left. In response to the reply, I have added a picture of the dry rot on one of the tires that isn't even the worst of it. Dry rot will cause the tire to blow out. Not sure where the asking to take 4000 off came from? You asked what it would take. I said 17000 you were asking 19500 that's 2500 difference. I Based my price off off the interior damage, passenger fender being completely rotted off on the bottom and the big rust spot on the rear quarter, along with needing shocks and tires. Then comparable LTZ same year same milage in better shape that were $500 more. You did not offer 1000 off you said $200. The interior was indeed damaged. It had nail imprints all over the dash and door panels where the nails stretched the leather. In the end we got a newer lower mileage suburban in way better shape for $1000 more.

May 2, 2024Thanks for reaching out Jesse, but I need to offer context here. Every one of our vehicles is inspected, and we take pride in putting the best quality used vehicle on our lot. The tires on the Suburban were WELL over state minimum, and were not anywhere near in the condition you suggest here. Additionally, I was the one who stepped in and offered to replace the tires as well as two interior pieces on the vehicle. To write a review saying we weren't willing to work with you is both disingenuous and wrong. Also to be extremely clear, the vehicle was not in any way, shape, or form "damaged." Being a 2015 Chevrolet, there was a very small spot of surface rust that was smaller than the size of a baseball. You asked us to take more the $4,000 off the price of the Suburban, which was already priced the lowest around. So I said that I would be willing to work with you for a reasonable offer. I offered to take $1,000 off and sell as-is, or you could come back and we could fix some of the spots to your liking. It is ridiculous that you would make these claims, as I said very, VERY plainly that I absolutely WAS willing to work with you. However, taking over $4,000 off of the price of the vehicle wasn't realistic. So instead, because you didn't get your way, you decided to slander a small business. We go out of our way to work with people. I told you that we are in the business of working with people to put a deal together, and I tried to do that. But it was you who was unwilling to work with us. I will say as a side note that vehicle sold two days later for full asking price because the vehicle was in good condition and priced correctly. *In response to the edit* Jesse, you offered $17,000 out the door. After tax, title, fees, the difference between our sale price and what you wanted to pay is $4,345.70, which I personally explained to you in great detail when you were here. I told you that we would take a couple hundred off the price and replace the tires, or take $1,000 off if you wanted to not drive the 2 hours back to replace the tires, which you found to be unacceptable. You further felt the need to damage a local business by getting your wife to post another 1-star review, more than two months later. We go out of our way to do the right thing and work with people, which I know we did in this case. We did try to go way above and beyond, but that wasn't good enough. I am sorry you feel this way. It sounds like while we weren't able to do enough to make you happy, it is better off for both parties. It is also worth noting that over the last 5 months, you have actually left FOUR negative reviews. So even in that fact, you aren't being completely accurate. We wish you nothing but the best, and we hope when you post publicly about small businesses that you do so with a bit more honesty and understanding. Take care, Jesse.
Said they could take a look at car if i towed it there. When i called back with a question on where the tow truck should park vehicle they said since i wasnt a existing customer they would not serve my vehicle, explained only one tec and he was way to busy from them to take on new busy. Would not ever call them again

Feb 23, 2024Hey Laura, sorry you had car troubles. I hope it was taken care of. However, we haven't taken customer work in service for well over a year now. And when you called, even if we were able to help, one of our techs was out on paternity leave, leaving us with only one tech to help get our vehicles ready for sale. I don't think a one star review is fair, especially considering you are criticizing us for something we just don't do. That's like giving Burger King a one star review because they wouldn't serve you a Big Mac. Again, I hope you figured out your car trouble, and wish you nothing but the best. Mark - Owner
Great place to purchase a vehicle, with trustworthy and friendly service! We signed the papers, got the information needed, and then stayed an extra while longer to make conversation with the staff. I have no hesitation to make this my dealership of choice, and will be return soon for my next vehicle purchase.

Nov 23, 2023Thank you so very much! It was absolutely wonderful seeing you and we are so glad it worked out!
Mark and Tyler were very helpful in facilitating this transaction. I love my 2019 Chevrolet Impala. It is exactly the car I was looking for. I'm very happy with my experience.
I'm 1 for 2 in purchasing vehicles from this place. I should've quit while I was ahead. I purchased an 03 Tundra a month ago that I noticed was leaking fluid after being parked in the driveway on night one. It seemed clear to me that it was leaking from the rear differential. They're a service center too, so I thought I could have them check it. They told me they could get to it in a month (short a tech they said). I said I didn't think it was safe to drive with a leaky differential. After that, they said they'd take a look right away and if it was something simple they could take care of it right away. I had it towed back to them less than 24 hours after purchase. They diagnosed it as leaky brake lines and defective wheel cylinders and fittings, which they replaced at no charge and they said the differential fluid was full. Well, after getting the truck home, the puddle continued to form, so I took it somewhere else. Turns out it was a leaking differential, like I told them. Not only that, the "new exhaust" they put on was touching the frame and rattling, the splash shield that protects the radiator and oil filter was just missing, the rack bushings in the front were failing along with some other issues. In total, with everything that needed urgent repair, I'm out around $5000 on a truck I paid $13k for originally. Keep in mind, when I noticed the differential looked to be leaking on day 1 I asked to trade it for a different vehicle on their lot, which prompted them to take it in and fix something that was likely an issue, but was an easy fix and didn't address the major concern I had, although they said it did. I would say this place buys vehicles at auction that look good on the lot, but have issues below the surface. It was my mistake for assuming I was getting an honest assessment of the issues. I would not purchase a vehicle from this place without taking it to my own mechanic. If they don't let you, don't buy it. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the other vehicle I purchased from them about 5 months ago has been solid, although I haven't taken it to a mechanic yet, so TBD.
These guys were fast and responsive right from the get go!! As soon as my application was in they were all about communication and making the process smooth and simple!! Great people!!

Jan 23, 2024Thank you, Mike! It was an honor to work with you! Enjoy that Suburban :)
We drove over 3 hours to look at a “super clean and solid, vehicle”. When we go there the vehicle was in the shop for an interior concern. They took the vehicle on a test drive before we could even look at it. The “super clean vehicle” had clearly been wrecked, repaired very poorly and damaged again. The paint was terrible all around the car. Scratches, dents, and poor body work. It was missing all factory badging. They greatly misrepresented the vehicle and took very strategic pictures to benefit them. Let’s not forget the deposit these thieves refused to give back. Bottom line, don’t trust this business. Go elsewhere.

Jan 23, 2024Kyle, thank you for your feedback. There's a lot more to this that you are skipping over. We sent you pictures of the exterior of the vehicle days before you came. We also told you that an interior trim piece was needing to be replaced, which was happening when you arrived. Our mechanic then took the vehicle for a quick drive as customary any time a repair is made to any vehicle. Additionally, we reminded you multiple times that we do not hold vehicles for people, however you elected to put down a non-refundable deposit even after we explained our policy, which is a very common one in the industry. We are sorry you feel that way. But transparency is very important to us. And if there is an issue, it's important to tell the whole story. We wish you luck in your vehicle search, and we thank you for the opportunity, even if it didn't work out.
My Dad bought a 2014 Chevy Traverse from this company in November 2021. He was told the ticking noise the engine made was normal. He proceeded to purchase the vehicle with trust in this company. He was buying the vehicle for Me, and my 4 children as a Christmas gift. We find out what was wrong and that the ticking noise was not normal & the engine was going out on it. The company then claimed they would fix it. My Dad called a handful of times to try to speak to the owner, who was conveniently on vacation or not in the office and of course NEVER returned the phone call. Well fast forward to March 2023, the transmission and engine was going out on it. My Dad is now still paying off over 10k in loans for this vehicle still, not to mention he just had a heart attack this week and the company has been harassing me ALL week long about my 1 star review. You are so lucky I couldn't talk my Dad into taking this company to small claims bc he would rather just not have to be stressed out and deal with it. Specially because every person I have ever talked about this company to, said similar thing happened to them as well. So PLEASE stay off my social media before I share my review around to the world. THIS IS NOT SPAM. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP.

Jan 23, 2024Trista, I'm very sorry you had this experience with the previous owner. The reason we reached out to you (once on messenger trying to clear up confusion) is that there was a change of ownership in August 2023, and we were trying to figure out the reason behind the 1 star review, when it is based off of an experience you had with the previous owner, which is rather unfair to the employees and team who were not at all part of this transaction from two years ago. It's not fair to hold us responsible for something they did. If there's a way we can help, we'd like to do so. But again, this experience you had was long before the new ownership, and I can promise you we do things much differently than the previous owner did. You could respond to my message and we can see how we can help. All the best to your father.
