For all my repairs, I go to Budd's. Maintenance transparency is their habit. Budd's honors its warranty and replaced a defective fan for free. Great service and people.

I went to Budd’s off of a recommendation and I’m so glad I did! They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and fixed my issue within 2 minutes!

My car abruptly stopped running a half block away from the shop and I was able to coast it into a parking spot. I walked in unannounced and asked if they worked on Volvos (They do). Omar was super-helpful and was able to diagnose what was wrong and get me on my way. These guys are amazing and went above and beyond. I'm going to be coming back to schedule definitive repairs and preventative maintenance.

Update 2023: i called budd's auto about a brake repair and they were willing to take the extra time to give me a rough estimate and help me save about 400 extra dollars from another shop. Omer was very kind, explained about details for car repairs and I could not recommend them enough as the #1 place in madison!! 2021: I had to get a headlight fixed a few months ago and they were super quick, as well as reliable with the problem and price. It ended up being much less than I thought. They helped me with a tire issue I had today even though their lot was full and they are always so nice !!! Would highly recommend :)

I got in my car after work and the car was shaking and check engine light flashing. I panicked and didn’t know if my car was safe to drive so I just found the closest open place on google and the men at the shop were so kind. I was so upset because I had a stressful day at work and just wanted to go home, and car troubles were the last thing I wanted. I was so impressed with their kindness and willingness to help me last minute and technically they closed while I was there. They diagnosed the issue for me and offered to fix it, but since it was safe to drive I opted to take it to my regular mechanic since the issue was recurring and the part was supposed to be under warranty. But I really appreciated their help in the moment and their generosity and kindness made a bad situation for me much better. They definitely left a wonderful impression.

I'm always worried about getting scammed when I go to an auto shop because of my lack of knowledge when it comes to cars and that makes me always get a second opinion before doing anything to my car. Budd's Auto Repair is the first auto shop I've ever been to where I felt the workers were knowledgeable, professional, and completely honest. I'm never going anywhere else for car issues! My check engine light randomly came on while I was driving and I started off by going to another place in Madison. The other place charged me $158 for inspection and told me it would be $2300+ to fix the issue. I thought I'd get a second opinion before coughing up all that money. So, I called Budd's and they told me they'd take me in for a free, walk-in inspection. I went there the very next day and they took me in right away. Omer checked out my car and ran a diagnostics test. He also broke down the issue for me and made sure I understood what was going on. He even went a step further and initiated a deeper scan. Finally, he told me that this was a known issue with my car and that the manufacturer issued a warranty for anybody with this issue and that they'd repair it for me if I took it to them. And when I offered to pay for the extra diagnostics and information, he refused. Thank you so much for your help! I know where I'll be going next time I'm having car problems :)

Budd’s is great. My son’s girlfriend had her car serviced a few weeks ago and then her battery died, no fault of Budd’s. When I was in Madison last week, I put a new battery in the car and got it running. It was running rough so I stopped by Budd’s for a quick look at the car. They got me right in and within a couple of hours gave me the bad news, the motor is not going to make it for much longer. They are beyound honest and always look out for the customer. I appreciate the excellent service and if I lived closer, I would only go to Budd’s.
