Service request to have 4 new Good Year tires mounted with Red Dot at valve stem as per Good Year’s recommendation. 2+3+ hours later, vehicle had 18 miles on it and they washed the red dots off. They also found my receipt I left In vehicle and took it; resulting in a 3rd return back to get receipt. Receipt does not state the 3 hours rework of vehicle. We discussed Good Year’s recommendations to position tires with Red dot at valve stem. They asked not to continue with Good Year’s recommendation to schedule elsewhere for correct mounting; and Ford stated bring back here for corrections. I believe someone used my car to go home for lunch; that would explain the 18 miles and 3 hours.

Hi Robert, First i apologize for the time it took and the fact we did not line the valve stem to the red dot on the tire. It was a brawl to get the TPMS light to reset and i am truly sorry it did take so long as I told you when you were here. yes we did not line the valve stem to the red dot on the the tire. Too be right up front i was not even aware this was a thing until you came to the service desk to discuss. However, the reason for the 18 miles on the vehicle was the difficulty in getting the TPMS sensors to program and not for our techs to take to lunch. Trust me i was as frustrated as you were in getting your TPMS sensors to clear and explained the tech was driving it to get it get the sensors to reset and obviously not to "get lunch". I also am confused by your statement of us telling you to go elsewhere to get your tires mounted and balanced and would truly aprreciate you letting me know who said that so i could address it internally. In addition we instruct our techs to clean the tires after mounting and balancing the tires which does include washing the yellow and red dots off of the tires. The only complaints we have ever gotten before you in the past has been when we do not clean the tires and consequently we have always focused on cleaning the tires for our customers. In closing, we dropped the ball in aligning the red dot to the valve stem. I offered you a loaner car to use while we corrected the mistake and you declined. At times various TPMS sensors can be time consuming and a pain to reset correctly. That is what took so much time. I wish you would have asked me while you waited if the tech took your vehicle to lunch as i would have explained further in what was happening. However, you obviously chose not to and instead inquire via a public review forum. I would also want to know who told you to go somewhere else to get your tires rebalanced. I want my people to fully understand that is not how we do business. You received a $50 gift card for the extra time and were offered a loaner instead of waiting for us to fix our mistake. We are not perfect Mr. Falash but I do know when we make a mistake we do everything in our power to make it right and sometimes those steps do take time. What we do not do is take customer cars to get lunch or tell them to get their tires redone for a mistake we made.
