Originally I had an appointment set up with Midas to get my check engine light checked. I didn't have a great feeling about going there so I canceled the appointment and made one with Hoffman's based on the reviews I had seen. I can tell you that I will never go to another place to get any of our cars looked at or serviced. After going through the diagnostic check they were unable to find anything wrong with my car. I had been originally quoted $150ish and when I went to pay they would not take my money. I was told that since they didn't fix anything they would not accept payment. I was blown away. I have a customer service background of 25+ years and I have never received better service. These guys are the absolute best.

This is an honest automotive mechanic business. They are always price competitive if not the lowest priced for work. If there is an issue with the work they do, they will work with you to make it right. I know from experience. I've never been left unsatisfied with the work they do. I've also never been to a more customer focused shop. And this includes living in two states. The lengths they went to trying to save me money on a transmission problem was amazing. I ended up having to have the transmission replaced and they even got a rebuilt transmission, with warranty, at a lower price than I could find a used, non warrantied transmission. If you aren't satisfied with their work, you haven't given them the chance to do it right. Sometimes automotive repairs are not straight forward. With the newer cars there are many interactions that cause issues which are not easily diagnosed. Even with the OBD diagnostics.

Place is a rip off. DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM HERE. MY BEST FRIEND BOUGHT A CAR DIDN'T PASS EMISSIONS. DUDE KNEW IT. OVER 5000 DOLLARS TO FIX IT. JUST A SHADY OPERATION.

May 24, 2023Hi Cheryl, Al Hoffman here. Although we usually just repair vehicles, we have helped a few customers sell their own. I have no idea who you are referring to but you must have the wrong shop. I would remember a $5,000 job and we haven't had any recently. That's a lot of work! We GUARANTEE a vehicle we are recommending is going to pass emissions, that's why we have the equipment to make sure. Please have your friend contact me or feel free to yourself, I want to get to the bottom of this.
Highly highly recommend this place. Service is sensational employees are very kind and helpful. Leave alone fast
