Horrible experience for my son. They messed up his car twice. And didn't want to work anything out with him. And Carl is rude. I do not recommend this place.

May 25, 2023Rebekah - I am sorry we were unable to make you happy. We cannot control when a part is a manufacturer defect. Yes, he had the axle pop out in Olathe and had another shop put it back in. Then he called & told us what had happened we asked him to bring it by because that is not normal and we reimbursed him for the other shop immediately and put a new axle in. When he came to pick it up and got to the end of the street it came out again so we paid to have it towed back up the street. We knew there was more to this because they do not just pop out - so after researching we found that the axles were a manufacturers defect and we resolved the problem and replaced it with another axle. it is out of our control but when your son brought it in the first time we reimbursed him for the cost for the other repair shop to put it back in. By looking at the axle they were unable to see the defect also. Your sons father called later and said that he was out some money for Uber rides so we agreed to give him a $100 credit and he was happy with that. We assumed since your son was reimbursed for everything that he was out and the car was fixed with a correctly made part it was taken care of. Then you came into our shop saying he is out more than $100 in Uber rides AND he missed a day of work. We cannot be responsible for him missing a day of work. Unfortunately things happen out of our control and all we can do is make your son whole for the charges he incurred with the other repair shop, the tow and $100 in Uber rides. We did work it out with his father but it was just not enough according to you and for that I assume is why you wrote the one star review which is incorrect because we did work it out with his father but it just wasn't enough for you. You probably did think Carl was rude because he was not willing to give you more money. We are always fair and honest but there is a limit to what we can do it was an unfortunate situation and we feel it was taken care of correctly and fairly.
I have been very wary of auto shops, as in the past they always have tried to oversell services once you get an oil change, but that is not how Casey's does business. I asked them to check out my wife's brakes during an oil change, and they said they should be good for another year. They also do a lot of little things I ask. After her battery went bad (2017 Tahoe), the cruise control would not work. They told me that sometimes you just need to unhook the battery for 10 minutes. They did this, and now it works fine. Didn't charge for that. I also bring my 2017 Audi to them for service and have had no issues. Honest people with reasonable prices. Please give them a try!

We have been taking our cars to Casey’s for several years. Carl and his staff have always provided us with great service at a reasonable cost

I told them to change my oil and rotate my tires !when they called me to pick up my car,he said you really don't need to rotate ! this is the kind of mechanic I want to work on my car. Honesty is the best policy!! THANK YOU!
