Stuck between a 2 and a 3. We went to Homestar because a coworker recommended Bryson and his team. Wendy was absolutely wonderful and very helpful! She helped make the process easy and was able to answer questions for us as needed and we loved working with her. Bryson would only communicate with us through text/email and was difficult to get a hold of if we needed to talk to him on the phone. We only spoke to him on the phone once throughout the whole process. When he did respond to our emails he was informative and explained things for us as needed. We really appreciate everything Bryson and his team did for us in assisting us with our loan, as overall his team was very very helpful and knowledgeable and we thank them for being there for us. We just felt lead on about certain aspects of our loan and did not appreciate getting a phone call 18 hours before closing letting us know about things we thought we had clarification on that actually turned out to be not true that we had asked about repeatedly. Homestar is very knowledgeable and is able to help a lot of people afford homes in the Franklin/WNC area, but we wouldn’t really recommend them. If you do decide to go with them make sure you ask the right questions and get answers when you need them and not wait on anything if you feel uncomfortable.

We cannot begin to explain how amazing our experience was buying our first home with Bryson Burt our Homestar lender ! We never thought we would be able to even consider buying a home and was afraid from all the feedback of first home buyers that it would be a drastic nightmare getting all the paperwork and finances ready. Well let me tell you when I say that he made every single step into starting our loan approval , to the final signing date as easy and painless as buying a phone from a mobile store. He was super informative with every detail and aspect of our paperwork , very sweet and understanding of our situation, and answered all 247,857 questions we had regarding what step we were in, what we were signing, what was this appraisal for and this insurance info, I mean the whole nine yards ! He also locked us into an awesome rate before they started to rise up! That alone saved us hundreds!
