The only reason I am giving this credit union a 1 star review is because I was denied for membership for this credit union by O. Gutierrez Galvan! I actually qualify because my sister is a member of this credit union. Do better!! Update: I read the owner's response and that is also incorrect because I work in Greenville County and was denied also. I have multiple reasons to be qualified and they denied me. Never asked for proof of employment or anything.

Aug 2, 2023Hi, Sheree! Guidelines for membership at Carolina Foothills include if you live, work, learn, or worship in Greenville, Spartanburg, or Cherokee counties. While being an immediate relative of an employee does also qualify you for membership, being a relative to another member does not fit this guideline. Historically, credit unions were often founded by employees of a particular company or service, providing them a way to loan money to one another and vote on important decisions. CFFCU was founded by USPS workers in Spartanburg! Nowadays, a lot of credit unions have expanded those membership guidelines to geographic boundaries.
