We had such a hard time with this company. We have 3 kids; one of which is medically fragile and so we communicated to them multiple times that we needed to move out of our current home directly into the new home to minimize stress for our son. So we just needed very clear communication to navigate details of his care. Finally, after 7 weeks of back and forth we were given a clear to close with a close date and time. So, we scheduled all the things necessary to care for our family the day of the move. The morning of “close” as the truck was being loaded we were told there was a problem with the file but “I’m not concerned we just need to work out the details”. We loaded everything on a truck. 30 MINUTES before close we were told to “hold tight” and wait for the word to go to closing. At 4:30, we went ahead and headed to the title company so we would be there ready to go when they were; knowing they close at 5:00. The title company had no paperwork and they informed us there was no way closing could get completed that day with so little time. The wonderful lady at the title company was very concerned and remorseful and informed us that the loan officer would have known “today” wouldn’t work by that morning with how many steps still needed to be completed. So, there we were, truck loaded, without a plan as the house we left was being moved into. Thank God, we did find a solution and didn’t have to sleep in the car. We called and asked what was going on and we were told “we’re working on it and it should be tomorrow”…. 3 days later, they still cannot give us a straight answer on where we’re at with the process. We’ve had to spend hundreds of extra dollars to store our stuff, find a place to stay, etc. They continued to string us along telling us “we’re close” and “we’re working on it”. When I finally asked EXACTLY where are we in the process we were told we were SEVERAL steps before getting to closing and the file was still with the underwriter. Mind you; this was supposed to be an 30 day close and we’re now at 7.5 weeks of this kind of treatment. I then asked how quickly can you even work through those steps, they refused to give an answer. There was more difficulty with caring for our son that I won’t go into. Finally, after 3 days of this we felt we couldn’t continue as we were spending so much money being in limbo and just need a place to LIVE. There was no remorse for their delay, not asking if we were okay, just a simple “we will cancel it”. There were several things that we have found out after cancelling that were done unethically, at best. While over the phone the loan officer was “nice” but there was no real care. I feel they’ve lost touch with the fact they’re dealing with people and they’re HOME; which is very personal and emotional anyway. Delays and disregard made this an incredibly hard time for us. My prayer is that our experience is not repeated for anyone else.

After my cancer diagnosis and the financial devastation that followed, I didn't know if I'd ever own a home again. One lender decided my situation was too difficult and complicated and dropped me. But Kacey and Steve went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me. She did SO much extra work and so many extra hours to get the exceptions for me and persevere, I am truly blown away.
