I’m new to the Wausau area & had to find a good mechanic.Great customer service! I’d definitely recommend this place for car repairs. Reasonably priced. Brought my car in for air conditioning leak and had my car back in less than 24 hours.

Bought a truck from a local dealer had enginge problems and the dealer was paying for all the repairs. They told me to take it to this place. We let's start off by the place looks like a addition to hill top auto wreaking (salvage yard) I walked in handed the guy behind the counter my keys told him why I was there and who I had look at it and he instantly started bad mouthing the previous shop then its took them 2 months to proform a the repaired and my engine still isn't right ill have to have it dont again I will never bring anything here or tell anyone to go here what a horrible place and a dump to top it off the owner is very rude and will yell and swear at you

Needed my intake manifold replaced. Being new to Wausau I was nervous about a respectable place that wouldn’t take advantage of a woman. Having a Diesel vehicle it’s hard to find mechanics. I was very impressed with the service overall. The mechanic showed me what happened and how it was affecting my vehicle in a way I understood. The price was definitely reasonable and I’ll definitely be bringing my vehicle here for all service needs.

Took my volvo to two other repair shops who couldn’t manage to do the work. Brought my car to 1st Ave auto & they got it done lickity split at a great price. They are very knowledgeable and would recommend anyone to bring their vehicles to them with any problem they are encountering.

My cars exaust fell off a few blocks from them. I figured I'd stop in and ask if they could help. Expecting to have to make an appointment and all that stuff. NOPE had me back on the road in less than 15 minutes! Super friendly and helpful. Would recommend you try them out.

Was in for a week of bow hunting and borrowed my brothers vehicle. Maybe went over a few to many bumps and the exhaust pipe (which was rusted) cracked and the muffler dragged. Talked to Tom, who was great. Got it to him after hunting the morning, fixed in a flash and back to the field to sit for the rest of the day. Great service. Thanks Tom
