I visited family with my Travel Trailer. After wheel bearing and tire problems on the road, Dave squeezed us in and replaced all wheel bearings, including fixing issues not repaired properly on the road and replaced all tires. Service was phenomenal. If we lived in town I would definitely be a regular at D&D Automotive!
Always good service
Best in town! Helpful, honest, and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Free loaner cars. Quality work done quickly.
Gave me an estimate for a transmission. He was the lowest. But after he started work, he kept calling me to tell me about this or that that wasn't in the estimate. First was he couldn't get the overdrive apart, so had to order a new one. $350.00.....after he had rebuilt the transmission...if I said no, then I'm still on the hook for the work he performed. Then he called to ask where I wanted the transmission cooler mounted ....but failed to tell me that he hadn't included it in his original estimate even though "every time a transmission blows up you have to "replace the transmission cooler"...well if you know that, it should have been in the original estimate!!! My choices were to buy another beater car and scrap that one or fix that one. I had $2K to my name at the time. Original estimate for transmission rebuild was $1550.00, so that's why I decided to get it fixed. The final bill was $2700.00 (bought vehicle used for $2400). Even the counter guy was shocked. More money than I could pay. Ended up giving them my vehicle. Complete rip off. UPDATE....the owner replied to this saying I reviewed the wrong D&D Auto.....nope...I reviewed the right one on Minnesota avenue...the only one in Stevens Point....I know this because I walked home in the pouring rain after discovering the cost of the bill was $700 over what I had to my name. I could not pay it. He took me to court and I gave him my vehicle...which he sold to cover the fee...it's in the court records.
Reply from the business:
May 24, 2018Hello, this is Dave the owner of D and D Automotive in Stevens Point Wisconsin. I believe that you are reviewing the wrong shop. According to my records here at the shop and my memory, I have not worked on your vehicle. I have not within the last 5 years taken a vehicle from a customer instead of meeting their expectations for the repairs. I would never conduct business in the manner in which you experienced, it goes against my very standards of ethical business practices. Can you please contact me, the owner, Dave at 715-344-6707 to clear this matter up. Again I honestly do believe that you are reviewing the wrong D and D Auto. Thank you
Really good service. Knows what he's doing. Won't go any place else.
I don't think I can ever take my car anywhere else after this level of service. These people care about your car and you beyond what I've experienced at any other shop. You'll get only what you want or need for a fair price. If you have to have auto work done, this is the place and you'll know after your first service. This is a ring pop they left on my dash. 👍
Arrogant
I am so blessed to have found this place. Very nice and when it’s urgent have no issues accommodating you. Will be going here from now on!
