I have never been to a mechanic and felt like they had my best interest in mind. This place has integrity and that’s rare in today’s world. I brought my car to them and they spent a few hours on diagnosing and even replaced the crankshaft sensor but since they couldn’t duplicate and confirm the problem they didn’t even charge me. He said bring it back if you have any issues but the check engine light is off now and everything is testing as it should.
I have had a wonderful experience here. Quick responses to concerns. Fair prices.
I waited some 8 or 9 days for them to charge me over 800$ and not fix the problem. I would highly NOT recommend this place. Someone from there replied to this comment with some nonsense. All I asked them to do was see why my check light was on and check out my gas tank for a leak. Gas tank wasn't even touched and light was still on 800$ later. I took it to a friend that found and fixed it within an hour. Bad O2 sensor.

May 3, 2024I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the service level that was provided at Rence’s Auto. The $800 covered the repairs of the leaking hose and cracked rim and new tires. The rim was outsourced as this is not an inhouse repair. The car was brought back with a secondary issue found in a different area of the vehicle four days later. This secondary repair is unable to be completed at Rence’s Auto as it requires BMW specific tools that we do not have. A referral was provided to complete the repair but refused by the customer. At Rence’s we pride ourselves on being able to service our customers to the highest level unfortunately in the circumstance we exhausted all of our resources and were unable to accommodate customer repairs at this time.

Worked on my vehicle recently and was able to take care of my car right away. Very straightforward and took care of the issues that I was having. They came highly recommended to me and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great mechanic.
Rence & his crew are the best! They really helped me out when I bought a used vehicle from a private seller who had apparenlty taken out a bulb so the engine light wouldn't come on. After I bought it, I was required to have the emissions tested. It.failed. I got the bulb replaced & found out it needed A LOT of work...about as much money as I bought the thing for! ***Let me get on my soapbox here & say that any county in WI that requires emissions testing should also have a law that a passed emissions test be given with the sale on any used vehicle. Off soapbox now.*** Rence replaced one catalytic converter, hoping the engine light would stay off. Bad news: the light went back on.That meant the 2nd catalytic converter had to be replaced for double the money. This was not a cheap thing to do, especially for someone like myself...a single mom living on a not even a 40 hour a week job. Rence really went above & beyond to help me and I know they gave me a huge deal when I had to come back to replace the 2nd catalytic converter. I highly recommend Rence for all your auto repair needs!
When I had to have my engine replaced I was directed here from the dealership. So thankful. The guys at Rence's have been amazing. Offering excellent and efficient service. Will continue to take my vehicle here. No question!
