I'll never use Ryan's Diesel again based on the service I received. There was an issue with a $550 dollar part I purchased related to UPS and shipping to a PO box. I caught the issue, before it was shipped to the wrong address and I reached out to Ryan's diesel. UPS was able to return the part to Ryan and he told me that he would call me, when they get the part back, to get a physical address before sending the part again. So they get the part back and call me, I give them the physical address, I then NICELY ask if they could do some sort of inconvenience discount or if they could ship it with expedited shipping, because my truck is still sitting without the part and it had been 2 weeks since I ordered it at this point (thinking the worst Ryan would say was "No"). At that exact point, Ryan went from 0 to 100 and began to speak condescendingly and became argumentative. All he had to say was "Sorry man, can't do that" but he didn't, he behaved irrationally and unprofessional (at the least). He began to rant about how he did not care that it was inconvenient for me and stated that it was more inconvenient for him. He went on to say that he didn't care that I caught the UPS mistake before they shipped the part to the wrong address because he would "just file an insurance claim with them" and get all his money back from UPS. He said the website says 'no PO boxes' on it clearly, but it doesn't list it clearly, the part was ordered off an internet search, so that PO box information didn't come up (a person would have to search for that info on the Ryan's diesel website under a tab titled "shipping & warranty"); it wasn't on the ordering page, which would make more sense and be more clear. He then ended our phone call with saying "I canceled and refunded your order" (I never asked to be refunded, he made that decision independently during his rant). He then stated "Those parts are on back order so good luck trying to get it somewhere else" he then referred me to attempt the Dan's Diesel Performance website. I was shocked by what I was hearing and I said "Is this how you normally do business"? And he followed that with saying that he didn't think he was behaving unprofessionally and that he would email me the recorded telephone conversation b/c he was THAT "confident" in how he was verbally responding over the phone; So... I'm still waiting for him to send that recording. Somehow I think he won't send it because he knows he was behaving inappropriately for a business transaction. I'm feeling relieved for the refund now. I would love this recording so I can post it and let perspective customers listen and decide for themselves. I know he will have a written response to this on here but customers should definitely take his word with a grain of salt. He can say whatever he wants but if he were 'confident' then he would send that recording and I'll respond with a link to the recording. - 2022 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Update 2023: Still no email of the recorded phone interaction has been sent, he broke that promise, as he brakes many promises, I suspect. I see that they had a reply to my original review, with no solid counter-argument and peppered with exaggerations and name-calling ("belligerent"), the lowest tier in the hierarchy of disagreement; not surprising. As I stated before, it did not list "No PO boxes" clearly when a customer is checking out, maybe they updated this because they knew they were wrong; I wouldn't know because I don't use their website...there are better companies to purchase from. And, in response to your comment about the "office gal" supposedly stating "There's nothing we can do", this never happened; that "office gal" said something along the lines that she was not able to but would I like to speak with Ryan because maybe he could help out in some way (which btw, she was the only pleasant part of that phone conversation). So, to reiterate, still 1-star because your "business interactions" are poor and the website was not clear.

To start at the top with “sorry we don’t give a refund”, you were told that by the office gal who handles all the shipments that there’s nothing we can do. After you didn’t like the answer from her is when you demanded to talk to somebody else besides her (ironically enough she’s in charge of refunds, shipments and programming of the TCMS). Yes, you are correct under the shipping and warranty tab AND the term and condition that you have to click and accept at check out to place the order it states NO PO BOXES. Besides it being in both spots it also is pretty common knowledge UPS doesn’t always accept orders to PO boxes. It also states we ship UPS. Being you have a PO box we figured you’d know this. When you asked where else you could get a TCM being it was on back order we suggested Dan's being he’s the only other company we know has the specific unit due to the chip shortage. You are 100% correct too, Ryan did refund you in the middle of the phone call. When we have a customer who’s already belligerent over a shipping misshapen that we had no control over, then demanding money back because the address that YOU entered was wrong, Ryan felt it was best to end the business transaction there and give you a full refund. What would happen if there was a warranty situation? This is the beauty of the United States of America are our freedoms, as much as you can freely choose who to purchase from, we can also choose to who sell too. When we have a customer who over the phone is making money demands for something out of our control, we don’t wish to do business why you got an instant refund. Although you may not agree on it, we stand by our decision to refund you and end our transaction. Best of luck to you!
Ryan and his team were great! I drove from southeast Michigan to Wisconsin to have them do head studs, gaskets and injectors, Tyler from RDS was my point of contact throughout the process he kept me informed on process and updates on the job. Hands down great service, work quality and professionalism. Will return for any further work! I appreciate the service and thank you for taking care of my duramax.

Ryan and his employees were great answering any questions I had about my 64 mm turbo for my 2013 duramax.I would highly recommend.Thank you for the great product it was shipped quickly. Installed the turbo over the weekend it sounds awesome.

Ryan and his crew did a great job with studding the heads on my LLY, replacing the injector pump, and installing the new turbo. Love the sound of the new turbo. Hope to drive up there next year if you have a truck show. Thanks again for all the work. Mike

RDS is the only shop I would ever recommend to provide anyone with their diesel needs in the area and surrounding states. From higher performance builds to fleet situations, Ryan and his crew are absolutely top notch and have no issue at all answering questions and making sure you are taken care of. They truly warranty their products further than their warranties state, and make sure their customers are happy. Their driveline side of the business is the same way, I’m MY opinion their “local competitors” can’t even compare. Whenever you call they are happy to help and at times they are busy they make sure you get a call back every single time. I highly recommend RDS and I believe many others do too.
