Took my vehicle in to have new rack and pinion, radiator, oil change, and whatever else fixed. Day i got the vehicle back i smelt something burning off. Looked under the vehicle and checked under the hood didnt see anything. Figured it was just the oil/greese what not burning off the engine. 5 months later still the same smell. Checked under the car again. This time i see the exhast had melted through the plastic undercarriage cover. Called the shop told them about it. When they looked at it they tried say it was not them. That i must have hit something, and it pulled in down. Well it was not ripped off. Matter fact it had not been bolted back on one side. The man said your complaining about a little plastic piece, which I replied its my plastic piece and you should put stuff back together right if your gonna do the work. All i wanted is it replaced and the man said no that they didnt do it and they didnt even take it off. Another mechanic came out rambling on about the same thing. Guy even said it must have been a coincidence that it started smelling that same day I got it back and drove it home. I know that i got my vehicle back from them and it was their mistake. Guess im gonna buy the $30 piece and put it on myself. You would think after paying $2500 they would take ownership and keep a customer. Anyway just wanted people to know. Honestly thought they gave me a good price and did decent work, but they let a little pride get in the way of doing the right thing. In response to your reply there is nothing I see that says I hit anything. Oh, here are the pictures. You took some too, remember? Post them up. Looks like it has never been ripped off. Only thing i see is where someone didnt put it back on right. Now i have popped my hood. Ive posted 2 more pictures with red and blue on them. What they show is where you had to reatatch the radiator hose to the bottom (red), and where the plastic skid plate (blue) is in retrospec to that hose. Now the easiest way to put that hose and clamp back on is to remove one bolt on the side of that plastic skid plate, so you can stick your arm in there and put it back on. Happens to be the one side that the skid plate was not resecured. You said it was ripped off, but the pictures tell the tale. Im not your ignorant customer, and not everyone is. I trusted your buisness to do the work. You messed up and instead of owning it you decided to blame me for your mistake.

Did a quick fix for me for free on my underbody shield so I can hopefully make it back home to MN and then have the dealer look at it 🤞 Very friendly!
