Had my truck for over a month before I got it back. I have a gps tracker on my vehicle and saw it was driven more than I would of liked after repairs were done. The repairs were done to my satisfaction but the price was quite steep.

I'm sorry you weren't 100% satisfied with the repair. Maybe if we explain why it was that way it will help you understand why it went the way it did. It did take quite some time to complete your repairs but as we have stated on our website we are very shorthanded right now with only 2 mechanics available and because of that we have a backlog of appointments at least 1.5 weeks out from any given day. When you had your truck towed in by a different towing company it was dropped off without any appointment made. And it was in rough shape. The left front suspension was badly broken. When it arrived at our shop we put you in our schedule but it was over the Thanksgiving holiday and we were even more backed up than normal. We had a nearly 3 week wait for scheduling appointments. So when we finally got to a point where we could fully inspect your truck on the hoist there was much more going on than was visible from where it had been dropped off. We had to use extraordinary efforts and additional equipment to even move your truck into one of our bays. The main concern was that your left front steering knuckle's "ears" had broken off the knuckle when it all broke. The brake hose on that side was damaged when the knuckle broke. That was what we could tell at first until we could inspect it on our hoist. The left front wheel bearing had been damaged and the left front lower ball joint was damaged. After addressing the obvious damage there were many other things that needed repair. The right front brake caliper was seized, the right front brake hose was rusted and clogged, you had a broken valve stem on the right front wheel, the right front rim was bent, the right front sway bar link was broken. Because of the steering knuckle repair it was necessary to perform an alignment. The extra driving you're objecting to was test drives to make sure it was safe, it wasn't after the repairs were made, it was during the repair process. All of the parts mentioned and the labor to replace them is the reason for the price. It wasn't a straight forward repair to the left side. In addition to the repairs the truck needed immediately, there were regular maintenance issues that have been neglected. The engine was low on oil as there was no oil visible on the dipstick when we checked your fluids. Your rear differential fluid was dirty and it was low because of a pinion seal leak. Your transmission fluid was low and dirty and in need of exchanging. The repairs that were made were time consuming and obtaining the parts took some time. We're sorry you aren't satisfied with the time it took or the price, but you can see what everything cost on the invoice you received when picking up your truck. We hope you will return to the shop if our services are needed. And we hope this makes it easier to understand why it was the way it was. If you have any other questions you're more than welcome to stop in and talk to the owner and he can explain. Thanks for your business and happy New Year.

We found Johnny's 66 after 3 tries at box stores. They fit us in between jobs. Sarah was very nice even carried out 1 of the tires up the street. Small town service is the best.

Jack the rate just because you're a little bit outside city

Reply from the business:

Oct 23, 2023

Yes, our rates are higher outside the city; we have in-town rates, out-of-town rates, police call rates, heavy rates, winch-out rates - all kinds of rates for all kinds of services. Our rates are posted at our shop if you'd like to stop in and take a look. We'd be happy to explain it to you. Feel free to stop in.

My girlfriends car broke down and was towed before i could get to it. Didn't realize a tow less than 8 blocks was going to be almost 300 dollars and than 80 dollars for 1 day of storage. I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

Reply from the business:

It's not illegal. We also don't know what car you're referring to, but if you want to stop into the shop and let us know what vehicle is your girlfriend's, we'd be happy to discuss the charges.
