Larry was fair with me. Had a disagreement and he returned my money
I was helping a friend pick up an UTV. I was so surprised to see a business owner disrespect his customer. I literally walked away. The owner also has no understanding of how to properly charge a deposit. They charged extra fees to use a CC for a deposit only. Justifying the expense as a fee that other companies charge. Specifically mentionng Enterprise. Personal experience and consulting industry professionals prove this to be an inaccurate representation of the facts. Our group will not do business with Larry Tarr and Pembine Sport due to his treatment of me and our group....

May 23, 2023Credit card fees are not unusual and we do not hide them in prices for goods or as a "Miscellaneous" charge. The fee is posted on the website as well as on the counter. Most other local business also charge a credit card fee. Previous owners also charged the credit card fee. No changes made as explained many times... This type of media or social network should not be filled with just bad reviews as this is almost never the real truth of service given. Explaining the credit card fee was a fee that was not one that we would take off was not disrespectful. What is disrespectful is this post. You are not telling the whole story of accommodations made for after hours rental return at no charge, posting on other social networks using a fake profile for example. . Most importantly why did you take the rental if you were so displeased with the service? No one was disrespectful and as far as we were concerned there was no issue and all went well. Again, your group took the machines and said nothing about any issues. Instead you use social media with a fake profile. Last, for those that might take the time to read this, also take the time to look over the rest of the reviews made by this person. Has this person ever been made happy. Why not take the time to brag about great service? Surely somewhere treated you well. We strive to exceed expectations and we will fall short at times as we will make mistakes but it is never intentional rather its a lesson learned. In this specific situation, there is no positive outcome that would be possible. To that end, we wish this person all the best.
Renters beware: This place does not offer any kind of insurance on rental ATV/UTVs. Despite what the owner claims, coverage is not available through your home, auto, Umbrella policy or credit card.....I spent a bit of time calling insurance companies and credit card companies. Nothing is available for ATV/UTV rentals Off road trail riding is rough and dangerous. Chances of getting in some sort of accident is pretty high. Causing wear on the machine is also pretty high. If you were to get in a collision and injure another rider you would have zero coverage. If you damage the machine in any way you have zero coverage. I found out the hard way.... In my case we took a corner too fast slid in to a rock and rolled the machine causing moderate damage. Luckily, no other vehicles were involved, and nobody was injured! When we got back the owner was irate (which is understandable) and forced me to buy the machine. saying it was totaled because parts were not available...this is very debatable but, that is not the reason for this post. Lesson here is, Please learn from my mistake! Understand what you are getting into. You likely have ZERO coverage! If you damage machine or hurt another rider it is on you...If you have a collision with another vehicle and cause injury you can probably expect law suits. Owner really needs to start offering rental insurance. Renters are taking a HUGE risk driving these uninsured vehicles on the trails.

May 23, 2023I do not understand why one star. It was very clear in the contract you sign there is no insurance and you accept the risk of damage as well as bodily harm. Luckily you were not hurt but to think it is ok to return a machine with this much damage and you carrying the hood and not have to pay for damage deserves a one star? The parts for repair were not available which would have resulted in an unknown time frame for parts to arrive and repairs made. Moreover the other two machines rented by your group also were damaged. How does one rip out an axle on one machine and put a large hole in the side of another one? It was obvious the machines were used as bumper cars. One star because I held you accountable for the damage you caused is unreasonable. As for insurance coverage for the damage, we recommended you contact your insurance company and or credit card company to see if they would cover a rental ATV/UTV. There was never a statement they would do so as we are not an insurance company and do not offer professional insurance advice. For anyone else reading this- If you rent a machine and damage it, expect to have to pay for it. Read the contract very carefully and if you do not want to accept the risk, do not sign it. Being held responsible for damaged caused is not that unusual and should be the standard. Last, read a recent review where the renter WAS able to add the machine to their insurance for the day.
Great rental experience! Follow the rules and you'll have no issues. No hidden charges, everything was straightforward and same as other recreational rentals. Don't let the bad reviews deter you, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Trails were GREAT during the week! Also, we were able to send the vehicle VIN to our insurance agent and were covered for the day! Easy.

This was our first time ATVing in northern WI. Larry and his team made this a memorable experience. They worked with me when we had to move the date, took the time to show us the best route for our time, made us feel confident we wouldn't get lost and would highly recommend them if you get to the northern Marinette county area. With miles of trails you get the true wilderness experience. We even had fresh raspberries on the trail. Definitely go visit Larry and his team, you won't regret it!

Very professional staff. They were extremely clear on the expectations of the rental, and the machines were very fun. They offered great trail advice, and even picked up the machines at our motel after the ride. We had a great time and would recommend this experience to all. Thanks Pembine Sport and lawn!!!

I go here to grab oil and spark plugs for the snowmobile. They've always had those items in stock, which is nice. The woman who works here is always extremely nice and helpful, she even sold me some products once when they were closed and ready to lock the door. I would give 5 stars, but the owner can seem a bit crabby and short tempered sometimes. (Smile and grit your teeth...customers can be stupid and annoying, but they will keep coming back if you are nice.) Other than that, its a nice little sport shop located right on the trail system.
