I left with more questions than answers. I became more confused the more questions I asked. I went in for transmission fluid change and asked them to look for leaks(because my fluid was extremely low and we had to fill the fluid, also it was shifting bad. I was told they found no leaks and likely it wasn't low when we filled it. But then also said they found signs of leaking on transmission coolant lines. I said ok, if my coolant line is leaking then that would make my fluid low? And I was told no..it makes no sense, if the lines are leaking then that fluid is going somewhere I would think. So anyhow I was told to replace my coolant lines at the cost of $700. But that's not going to actually fix my problem.

Nov 24, 2023Hi Stephanie, we apologize for the confusion! On your vehicle, the fluid level should be checked when the vehicle is warm. When we did it according to the procedure, the level was fine. Because the coolant lines did have a seep, we would recommend (as stated at the visit) that should you notice it getting worse (i.e. fluid where the vehicle had been parked), notify us immediately.
