Twisted Wrench has been amazing for me. They're always quick to respond to appointment requests and are friendly and inviting throughout the process. For a seemingly smaller shop they do an amazing job. Even on short notice they find ways to fit your appointment in. I emailed them in the morning about my brakes needing replacement and less than an hour later they responded with an appointment time the next day. Obviously that won't always be the case, but it's a great indicator of their dedication to great service.

I wouldn't trust these people. Brought my car in for a diagnosis only and they removed parts without me approving it first. And they didn't even tell me about it when I picked it up. Also wanted $1100 for a $500 part that took an hour to install.

Dec 24, 2023Timothy, we are sorry that you did not have a good experience with us. The only part removed was the clockspring to test the part for the diagnostic due to the horn not operating. The broken clockspring was reinstalled when the repair was declined. The estimate for the part and labor was largely based on the cost of the part from the local dealer, which costs us more than $500. Again, we apologize that this experience was not what you were expecting.
I haven’t used them for service but am so appreciative of the time they took to give me info about a used car I was considering buying. I would be a customer here in an instant if I needed anything. They seem honest and knowledgeable and like an excellent business with fantastic practices.

So I bought a used car here when Covid was just starting to jack prices up. They did not follow suite. Instead I got a great car at a very fair price and they’ve stood behind that car for years now. All of the repairs they’ve done have been solid and at an extremely reasonable price. They stand behind their work and they make Burlington feel like a small town that takes care of you. Twisted Wrench is the mechanic shop your grandfather would go to.

Not a guy to write reviews frequently but Twisted Wrench will be an exception! Blew out a spark plug on my car in Waterbury, all things considered a frustrating repair for mechanics as it required retapping the spark plug threading (a fairly tedious process). Not only did the shop answer every question that I had regarding my repair, they had it done less than two days after dropping it off, which was about a full-week earlier than I was expecting it. Every single person that I talked to made the usually painful experience of fixing a car engine, much, much easier. While I'm sure there are many great mechanics in the area - I would strongly recommend this one to anyone who's in the market.

The team at Twisted Wrench are fantastic. A friend of mine recommended them to us and they have been wonderful to work with. It’s rare to find a mechanic that checks in with you a few days after the work to make sure everything goes well and they do that. Their pricing is great for services needed and they also have great pricing on tires! I recommend them to everyone I know and will continue to do so.
