Walked into the Midas shop to ask about getting my first Vermont car inspection and also asked if they could check the squeaking noises my car has been make recently. Jeff immediately offered to let me use a loaner car for no extra charge while they looked my car over. The next morning, I received a thorough list of things I needed to repair to pass the inspection and things that I probably should just repair in general. I also got a call from Jeff, who helped with any questions I had. When I picked up my car, I was given an estimate of what it would cost to do everything on the list I didn't have fixed, along with suggestions regarding what was most needed and when. Throughout the whole process, I felt very taken care of as a customer. Jeff and the rest of the Midas crew were helpful, clear, and gave informed guidance rather than trying to push anything on me. I will definitely be coming back over the next few months to fix what I can!

We were on a 7 day trip to Cape Cod-Boston, day two we got a flat tire! My tires are over sized and hard to find but the service rep. Found a correct size tire ( not the same brand but no fault of the rep.) size was crucial!! He even went and picked it up himself to save time for us! The tire was installed with no issues and we were able to get back on the road in under two hours which was unbelievable to us!! Great job and many thanks - S&L McD

I came here for brake and turn signal lights replacements. The entire staff was friendly. They answered all my questions and did a thorough inspection on my vehicle. I had to wait a bit longer than expected, but I received updates on the progress. I will definitely be returning for additional services.

I highly recommend Midas for any of your car services. On my way there for an oil change, I had a flat tire. Once there, an issue was found with one of the other tires. I did leave the car overnight, but new tires wre ordered and installed by noon the next day. With new tires, and new oil, the car was ready to go. Kyle, thank you for the great service!

I can't say enough good things about this Midas! Everyone that I have worked with here over the past few year is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I have had everything from alignments to an engine replacement done here and would recommend them for anything!

A long over due review of my service and experience with Midas of South Burlington. The crew at Midas from start to finish was excellent. Although a muffler repair turned into a great deal more, it was work that needed to be done. With this being said, an hours worth of work turned into several which put me in a situation of not being able to get to work on the other side of Burlington. The gentleman working the counter was so thoughtful in arranging a ride for me with the owner-Pete! Not only was the work done well, but this customer service, well above and beyond cannot be beat. Thank you everyone at Midas and especially Pete for making an unplanned day into a very positive experience!

They took me in for a drop off with no appointment because I had to leave town the next day. The car was done same day, so they ended up saving me money on getting around town. Super appreciative and great full.

I’ve been to Midas a few times before and they did a fine job. Last time not so much. Last time I went to Midas for a state inspection, I was told I needed a ton of repairs to even pass inspection on a relatively new car (2018). It was a great shock to me. I reluctantly agreed to the repairs. They gave me a price quote that day of around 1300, then the next when they called to say it was done, Jeff to to tell me it was going to be $1600, $300 MORE THAN WHAT THEY TOLD ME!! When I challenged them on it, they dropped it and charged me the initial estimate. When I picked it up, the guys were chuckling about it and said “yeah I guess Jeff got that straightened out for you”. It gave me the impression that they commonly do this, especially to young women like myself. They also broke a part while repairing something else and tried to charge me for it, when it was perfectly fine before I brought it in. I am very skeptical that I even needed the work that was done. I will never go here for a state inspection again. I tried to let my skepticism go, as I didn’t want to believe this mechanic would do that. They seemed nice & knowledgeable before. But after talking to some friends about this, they shared similar experiences. Be very careful if you go here for auto work.

Very impressed with the service here. We were from out of town and desparately needed a new tire so we could get on the road. They managed to fit us in on a Saturday, worked quickly, gave us a fair price, and never tried to convince us to add on anything extra. And great customer service from Susan!

We were in a jam. The muffler on my wife's car broke while driving on Friday from Montreal. For color my wife is a nervous driver. 50mph is a maximum speed ,passing is not allowed, the arm rest has multiple lines from stress scratches and driving in the rain is a tentative experience. Suffice to say that a repair of the broken muffler was her priority on Saturday morning or otherwise our four day fall vacation in Vermont was back to Canada. Open car repair shops in the Burlington area on a Saturday are as rare as Loch Ness sightings on Lake Champlain. Google led me to Midas. The experience was a more than pleasant surprise. From the most detailed computerized inspection service where safety transcends doubts about cross selling to the following professional completions:,repaired muffler, alternator belt replacement,steering revitalization,badly needed head light buffing as well as identification of minor oil leak and needed ball joint replacement,their investigation was thorough. The wait time of four hours was a piece of cake The client room is replete with fresh water, free coffee and Tv and a spotless floor. Front desk staff with great software are fully apprised of work in progress on your car and have the analytical skills to match those of the mechanics in the garage. Hunger intervened after several hours of legitimate wait. Literally Midas has everything. Next door is the incomparable institution, Al's French fries and their wonderful playground for children and parents alike, Marco's , a sandwich shop in need of rejuvenation and a block away,also served up a brilliant sub on home made fresh baguette. Bottom line: I found the Midas touch for car repair though safety of mind does not come cheap. For Canadian readers,the 31% premium on the US dollar is offset somewhat by only a 3.5%Vermont sales tax and then there is the good variety of area shopping less the US Border wait and the present high cost of gasoline.
