We were traveling from Northern Massachusetts to the ice castles when we heard noises coming from our brakes. Seeing it was a Saturday we thought it unlikely that anyone would be able to see us, but Steve had us come in immediately. He was able to still order parts and fix the brakes And arrange transportation to the ice castles. His fees were very fair and I’m seriously considering traveling the hour and a half to drop my vehicle off for any future repairs. Anyone close to him should consider seeing Steve.I’ve been around for a while and have not met anyone like him before.

Heitz Auto is amazing! We arrived in North Woodstock for vacation and my car started having problems. I googled and found the closest shop. Having no references and not knowing the area, I was worried what I would find in the area but we could not have been luckier! The owner steve had me bring the car in right away, diagnosed and provided estimates within 10 mins, arranged a safe ride back to where I was staying so I could be with my family while he worked on the car. Within 3 hours I had my car back. They are truly the nicest people. Not to mention an excellent, knowledgeable mechanic. Thank you so much for your help! I highly recommend this business

These guys are about as good as it gets. I had another mechanic replace my brakes, and they failed >100 miles from home. These guys were able to find parts — despite dealerships and part suppliers being closed — fix the issue caused by the other mechanic and get us safely on the road in a few hours. They even lent us a car to grab lunch in town.

Service that reinforces faith in humanity. I didn’t have a significant issue but the integrity of the owner is very evident. Issue came up while driving north on 93 to go skiing, they answered and allowed me to pull in immediately to get it checked out. Solved the issue right away. Highly recommend, wish they were closer to where I live!

The people who work there are friendly and professional service. Steve can fix just about anything. We broke a timing belt in our PT cruiser 2006 he fixed it still driving.

Steve at Heitz Automotive is a great and thorough mechanic, excellent at keeping in touch and providing timely service, while explaining and showing what happened with repairs.

Steve took such great care of my husband and I when tire trouble unfortunately came about during our camping trip in Woodstock. Steve even drove his vehicle to our campground to help us out, and exchanged his personal phone number with us to make sure we made it home safely. It’s so nice to stumble upon a great shop, and more importantly kind people, when car trouble arises at an inconvenient time!
