Hello, I'm going to assume this review is from your state inspection visit from a month ago. I'm sorry you disagree with our inspection findings, but the laws and rules (that all inspection stations must follow) are crystal clear in this matter. Both of the items your car needed to pass inspection are documented in the digital health report and viewable here: https://motorist.autovitals.com/l/dEPPfg If you still disagree with our findings/state law, I encourage you to reach out the the Department of Safety's inspection desk at 603-271-3339, and they will schedule a time to look over your car at our facility (or any facility you choose). Giving a local family business a one-star review for simply following the state inspection rules seems a bit harsh to me, especially when your car was clearly unsafe.

We also documented everything in our digital health report, viewable at https://motorist.autovitals.com/l/cX0Kyv Your battery hold-down is clearly missing in the photos, and I sincerely hope (for your safety) that some actual repairs were performed to the emergency brake system, as it is seized and dragging. The estimate you were given reflects the "Worst-case-scenario" for the repairs, as some of them were an unknown until the items were disassembled (like the emergency brake) Not sure how your insurance agency got involved in the auto repair business, but according to the NH inspection database, the car has NOT been passed for inspection (I checked), and if you got a sticker, it quite possibly could be an illegal one, which carries a heavy penalty. If you still disagree, I invite you to call the NH inspection desk at 603-227-4000 and they will send a trooper or enforcement officer to look over the vehicle, and confirm/deny our findings. As far as this being "the second time this garage has failed my car and tried to get money out of me", I have to assume you're referring to last year's inspection (viewable here: https://motorist.autovitals.com/l/cX2ytr ) when you needed (and approved) rear brakes, a few bulbs, wipers, and we reattached your crashed-up front bumper for free. I don't really know how to say this any other way, but sometimes cars need work to be safe/legal. It doesn't make somebody a liar or "SCAM ARTIST" for pointing out glaring safety problems with your vehicle, and you are always free to take your vehicle anywhere you want for repairs for inspection, or even do them yourself! We've been in business since 1955 and shops that are "scamming people" don't last that long. We take pride in our work, and in our reputation, hence the transparency-increasing digital reports.
