Brought my 6.0 powerstroke to Dark Horse Deisel for new up pipes/manifolds and wasn't disappointed. My manifolds were rusted out and leaking so bad the bolts looked fused to the engine. Sandy replaced everything it needed, truck was done earlier then expected and saved me hundreds of dollars and a nightmare job I wasn't looking forward to doing myself. Before he did the work, I was being robbed of some much power that when I drove it home, I thought a performance tune was on it. Integrity and knowledge of this shop and owners really is unmatched.

Good, honest, mom and pop style garage. Price was exactly what was quoted, work quality is great, and the folks are very kind. Not to mention, it was $500 less than any other shop in the area. If you need diesel work done, this is the place! Edit: Knocked off 2 stars because the compressor failed after only 3 months and 1200 miles. To his credit, I only asked him to replace it and recharge and he did. I do wish he would’ve made suggestions about purging the system and cleaning it all out before the reinstall. Not sure if I upset him by doing self diagnosis or what. But I’ve now been told by a separate mechanic that anytime a compressor fails the entire system becomes contaminated and must be cleaned or the new compressor will fail prematurely. I don’t wanna hurt their business, but beware. Just let them do the diagnosis I guess.

I can’t thank Sandy and Heather enough for their help with our truck. We have a truck camper and one of the air ride suspension bags failed. I found them to be very responsive to our dilemma, he got the truck right in, ordered the parts, and fix it a day earlier than expected. Communication is big problem with so many companies and you feel like you’re forgotten, well, let me tell you, not with Dark Horse Diesel….. They kept us well informed at every level and gave us tips for some new camping locations. We’ve been vacationing in the White Mountains our whole life and we’ll sure be back! Lost the motor in my 04 duramax Sandy had new motor and transmission and rebuild my transfer case done in a week after waiting weeks for motor and transmission.
