This shop offered to do a "courtesy pre-purchase inspection" on a car that had been there for major maintenence work in the recent past. The car was "inspected" and the mechanic, Jonny, reported the car was "pristine". The car was purchased on this premise and was immediately found to have fuel leaks, coolant leaks, a failing air-oil separator, failing AC compressor, and numerous other mechanical issues/failures. I understand it was a "courtesy" but why even offer that if you aren't even going to look the car over or do anything? Their lack of honesty and transparency has resulted in over $10,000 of repairs in this car that they claimed to be "pristine". Avoid this shop as they are not trustworthy or honest and will likely just say anything to make money from you or do the least work possible.

Apr 25, 2024Alex. First of all, at the time the car was dropped off, we stopped what we were doing so we can inspect your car. And found nothing wrong with it. Just because months later your car started leaking, it's not our fault. As per the AC compressor, they don't have a set date to fail. They just do. And my question to you is: How much did you pay for the inspection? The answer is zero. We inspect cars all the time and if there is nothing wrong with them at the time of the inspection, I can't tell you otherwise. Just because the seller might have washed the engine prior to the inspection, that doesn't make it our fault. But this is what we get from people like YOU when we try to do something nice. No good deed goes unpunished.
I called with a question about my 2001 M3 and he was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He answered the phone quickly and helped until my question was answered. Great service.
I have so much gratitude for being referred to German Motor Works. My good friends recommended that I see Jonny about my Audi. His team members are kind and professional. The lobby and garage are in immaculate shape. Jonny - thank you for your genuine concern and talented skill in helping fix my car.

I'd leave 10 stars if I could. Skilled. Professional. Outstanding service. Some real life savors over here. God bless this shop and their mechanics. I'm back in the seat thanks to these guys.
Fair prices, Good work, but do not plan for an appointment time to mean anything. Best to leave it and wait for them to call if at all possible.
