I would bring my car here again if needed ! Chuck at the front desk was super nice and helpful. He called before they made any decisions and he explained everything. My car was finished in a timely manor.

Good guys here. Took care of my issues without any pressure and were very detailed when explaining the problem. I will be back cause good service is hard to find. Glad I found this place.
Came in for a wheel alignment. They squeezed me in, late in the day, and got me back on the road. Very knowledgeable and friendly service.

I have taken my vehicles to All-American for years. I trust them completely because they make things right and stand behind their service. The waiting space is clean. I’m respected as a woman, and helped with future things that will keep my car running for a long time. I’ve moved out of town but I intend to stay with this business for return visits!

Brought my car into All-American to diagnose unusual road noise, consistent with either a wheel or tire problem. It also needed an oil change. Front tires were visibly and unevenly worn, but the noise seemed to be coming from the back. All-American got back to me with the following diagnosis: Wheels and wheel bearings seem to be fine, but front tires are unevenly worn, indicating a problem with alignment. The noise seems to be due to an uneven wear pattern on the right-rear tire, which is, in turn, being caused by worn-out rear shocks. Also, in their opinion, the car needed an air filter and wiper blades. Total estimate for tires, shocks, oil change, air filter, wiper blades: around $1500. I had taken the car in thinking the noise might be related to the wheels and/or suspension. Since the noise wasn’t that, and since I had just been quoted $1500 for an assortment of issues that were not life-threatening for the car, I got my car back after All-American did just the oil change. I sent the car elsewhere for a second opinion on the road noise. I knew that the car did not need wiper blades (I drive the car every day), and I had a suspicion it did not need an air filter (my wife told me the air filter had been changed recently). In addition, though All-American’s invoice did not list a labor cost for air filter or wiper blades, the parts cost listed was about 2x-5x the cost for these parts from publicly available sources such as Amazon and Ebay. Regarding the oil change: All-American conducted (and charged me for) a full synthetic oil change without discussing it with me. Maybe that’s all All-American offers, but if so, I should have been told, as synthetic oil changes cost almost twice as much as non-synthetic. The second opinion regarding the road noise: Shocks could be replaced, but they are not worn out and are not the cause of the irregular wear pattern. Car is not out of alignment. However, the car was rolling around on three different brands and two different sizes of tire. This issue could cause the irregular wear patterns that were creating the road noise, so let’s change all the tires and see what happens. We changed the tires, and the noises are gone. The second place I took the car also just happened to check the oil, and I’m glad they did. My car has a 3.8-quart engine oil capacity, and the invoice from All-American correctly listed the oil change as 3.8 quarts. However, upon checking the oil that had just been changed by All-American, we discovered that the engine had been overfilled to approximately 5 quarts. Running a car with too much oil can be a serious problem—as serious as running a car with too little oil. Had the second mechanic not thought to check the one thing All-American did to my car, my car’s engine could have been damaged or ruined by the overfill. My conclusion: All-American definitely pads out their invoices by recommending unnecessary repairs and maintenance. After my experience with them this week, I checked their other reviews. It seems that most of the negative reviews for this shop give some version of this same complaint. One of the negative reviewers mentioned that they told the shop that their vehicle is used for business, and that reviewer speculated that the padded invoice might have been a result of them having that knowledge. I think this is at least possible, since I also mentioned that my vehicle is used for business, and I got a similarly padded invoice. However, given the obviously low effort put into diagnosing my car, and given the gross incompetence displayed in the faulty oil change, I think it is also possible that their technicians simply don’t diagnose problems properly, so they just end up guessing at problems with the customers’ money. Either way, All-American is exactly the kind of shop you don’t want if you depend on your car but don’t know much about repairs yourself. They tried to overcharge and upsell me at every turn, and they botched the one thing I let them do to my vehicle.
