Sent me a letter saying as a return cust Im eligible for discount cash out refi. I call to set it up, hunted & filled/out lots of paperwork. Paid for the appraisal, week later im emailed, says they just changed appraisal rate, they want to retroactively charge me the new rate, from $470 to $675 & I'll have to wait over a month to get the appraisal. Waiting to hear from higher ups, I've never heard of a company selling a product, raising the price a week later then call asking customers that already bought said product to pay new prices for something they already paid for.

Aug 16, 2022Hey J, I'm sorry for the miscommunication, and I completely understand your frustration. Please know that we do not employ VA loan appraisers (the VA appoints appraisers), so we won't benefit from a higher appraisal price. I'm sure your loan team is working to get you to closing as soon as possible, and I appreciate your patience as the appraisal timeline is also out of our control. Again, I apologize for the inaccurate cost estimate. We'll try to do better moving forward. Thank you for your time and patience, Jerod, Client Relations
First of all, Solibel Ramos was amazing. Not only Solibel provided me an outstanding service, she was always prompt to respond my texts, emails and phone calls regardless of the day and time. I had to switch my loan company to Veterans United due to lack of communication. With Veterans United, everything went smooth and quick until the closing day. I am very glad I went with Veterans United and I would definitely recommend Solibel Ramos. Thank you again to Solibel and Veterans United.
Thank you for transitioning me into my new journey with such confidence and comfortability. I felt Veterans United truly cared for my goals and didn't see me as a number on their list. You have my full trust! Thank you.
They walked me through the process step by step and kept me in the loop the entire time. As a first time home buyer I highly recommend this team.
Please look somewhere else. I found a mortgage company that saved me closing costs, over $3,100 to be exact. VU went to match but then I heard that they have had issues closing on time. They were going to get a decent rating from me because up to then my customer service had been great. They had hard feelings over me transferring to a different company so instead of transferring my appraisal they canceled it after receiving the paperwork to have it transferred. By doing this they intentionally tried to sabotage my closing date. This would have left my family, 2 small children included, homeless until closing could happen. Luckily the team at the new mortgage company made my closing happen on time. For a company who cares about veterans they certainly have a funny way of showing it. I am a 21 yr veteran. You can do better elsewhere.

Aug 16, 2022Hi Joe, I wish we could've been the team to get you across the finish line, but we are happy to hear that you were able to find the right lender for you. I can assure you, we'd never intentionally sabotage a closing date, and I'm glad to hear you were able to close on time. Please note that we can't transfer an appraisal order, only a completed appraisal. So the best option we could see was to cancel the order, allowing your new lender to put the order in directly. When your lender orders the VA appraisal directly, they're the first to know when it's completed, which streamlines the process and eliminates potential roadblocks to closing. Thank you for your 21 years of service to this country and for the opportunity to earn your business. We wish you nothing but the best for you and your family in your new home! Take care, Jerod, Client Relations
