I was referred to Mitch Davidson by a realtor in Asheville, NC while I was looking for a second home. Not knowing the area or having any network to speak of I reached out to him hoping to make a connection. After a couple of introductory emails, Mitch and I connected on the phone, and I then knew that I was in good hands! Mitch spent about 40mins on our first call learning about what I needed, what I was looking for in a property, and what I could afford to spend. He was very knowledgeable and discussed multiple options for my mortgage needs. He walked me through the process from start to finish and made sure I was comfortable with the language and the deliverables as a property buyer. Based on the knowledge Mitch had and my comfort level, I committed to working Mitch and Movement Mortgage. As soon as I was able to get my information submitted, via the very user-friendly Portal and the DocuSign tool, Mitch was able to generate a prequalification letter that my realtor used during the offer process. I want to thank Mitch for answering my relentless text messages and phone calls (even on weekends) and for keeping me up to date during the whole process! If you need a mortgage or refinance in the Asheville area, I highly recommend Mitch and the Movement Mortgage team!

Movement Mortgage only cares about helping themselves and making good money. They expect their employees to put work over family and above all else. They treat their employees as if they should be on the clock 24/7. An employee that I know, was up till 1 am most nights working on files to help clients… and still got “layed off.” She’s been at Movement for over 5 years and they chose her over new employees?? Highly don’t recommend a business who sees it alright to treat employees like this.

Carol Duermit was our loan officer and she was amazing. We were first time buyers and she guided us through the process with ease. She explained the process so we knew what to expect and was great with updates and communications. The process can be a bit stressful because there are so many moving parts, but Carol kept us informed, laid out our different options, and made suggestions based on our situation. She helped us understand our credit and made suggestions to help us improve our situation that ultimately led to us getting a great deal on our home. She also walked us through the process of making those improvements and how it would effect our ability to qualify. We started with a phone call and weren't sure we were even ready to buy a home and ended up at the closing table. We are grateful for Carol and Movement Mortgage for making this happen. 11 out of 10, would recommend and use again! 😁

My experience with MM Asheville was very poor. Their agents consistently provided incorrect documentation and followed up last minute with urgent requests. I absolutely had to hound them to "move" forward on every step of the process, which resulted in my close being delayed a week. I do not recommend MM mortgage.

I had an excellent experience with Movement Mortgage. Chase Hanks and her team are incredibly thoughtful and helpful. I would absolutely work with them again!

Go with a more reputable company for your loan needs. Careful, it is not a smooth process once they take your loan. Apparently I was told that ServiceMac would service my loan, then without notice I get an e-mail the day my mortgage is due (August 1 2020) and Movement says they're going to service my loan. 6 days later I get a message from Movement in a written letter saying I had NSF - this is a lie as my funds cleared on August 3, 2020. Call to Movement resulted in rep telling me its my issue and to contact ServiceMac via e-mail about this issue appearing on my account and that the NSF will remain on my account until the loan is closed and further that I will owe $25 fee. The ONLY reason this occurred was because Movement (without ANY notice to me) decided to take my loan back from ServiceMac, who I had on autodraft for my first payment. So if you want poor customer service, zero notice and this company to absolutely screw things up, give them a shot - they will meet this expectation.

Well what can I tell you, the Winters team at Movement Morgage really made our homebuying experience magical. Not only were they highly professional but they were incredibly efficient. There were plenty of times myself and my fiancé were very uneasy. This was our first home purchase. We were lucky enough to be able to make this happen during the pandemic. We fell in love with a home right when the entire stay at home order went into place. I have to give a huge shout out to Brittany Devore who calmed me down on multiple occasions due to the expected bumps in the road during any home purchase. I’m sure this post will begin to sound over embellished but believe that what I’m saying is 100% spot on. These are the good guys. They truly see the best in people and that is something the world sorely needs. I can’t even imagine what things might’ve been like had we not chosen this company.
