I was looking to buy a house in South Carolina, moving for Ohio. I was in a line of work that became soo toxic and evil that I no longer felt safe or happy in. I rented out my house in Ohio and moved. Chris and I served in the same unit in the Marine Corps. He hasn't lost his Marine Corps spirit. My credit score and DTI was straight garbage when I started talking to him January of 2023. He told me straight up what I needed to do to be qualified. No punches reserved. I applied to dozens of lenders along with Atlas lending group. All of them stated they had a minimum score requirement on a VA loan of between 620-650, ruining the spirit of the VA loan. I had a 603. EVERYWHERE told me to look elsewhere because my loan would be "too hard." Chris took me in, told me exactly what I needed to be pre-approved. Once I met those requirements, with still a 603 we were sprinting. We sent paperwork back and forth within minutes. What would take a civilian a week to sign, send, and forward. Chris did in minutes. Weeks of work done by close of business the same day. The only delay was Newrez. Newrez was complacent and dropped the ball all the way to closing. They missed a fatal flaw in my initial loan process, my COE and entitlement. I still had a home in Ohio with a VA loan that I bought for $100k. You can't have two VA loans under $144k with a VA loan. Two weeks gone thanks to a complacent, incompetent 3rd party underwriter. This WAS NOT due to Chris, nor Atlas Lending. My credit score did not meet the automatic underwriter so it was bound to happen. Still, Chris worked HARD. I found a house for $150k for the bonus VA entitlement and pushed on. 15 days closing on this new property. Chris worked relentlessly. In a world full of stress, problems and pain that's caused by lazy people. This company and Chris make this the way they should be. While my loan profile was painful, Chris made it work. I will always recommend Chris and Altas to anyone needing a team that grinds without stop.
