Do not dare consider using Prime Lending if you want accurate fast information. I would give a zero rating if that were possible. I feel a one-star it too good of a rating for the service we received. We had tried Prime Lending about a year earlier but were unable to get approval due to student loans. The experience was not as the main agent, Jodi Porter, was a little aggressive when we wanted her to explain how the process works. She even made a comment about how she doesn't understand how math teachers like me could not understand how interest works. I assured her that it was not the math that I did not understand but rather how the whole process itself workes. When we had rehabilitated our student loans, we decided to return to Prime lending but ask for a less aggressive agent. We began working with Kelly Mullikin, who recommended several attornies to give us advice regarding allowing duel cosigners with only one spouse on the deed. We were approved for a loan that allowed my wife to be the sole name on the deed while using my income to help qualify. This was actually recommended by one of the attornies that Kelly Mullikin had recommended. In the beginning, it took forever to reach this point and Kelly Mullikin would not keep us updated on the progress. She would not respond to emails, and it got to the point that I had to call the office are request another agent. When we finally got approval for the loan, we found a real estate agent and began looking at houses. We saw about 5 houses before we decided to make an offer. The real estate agent suggested that we call our agent at Prime lending to see if we could get a small extension of the loan amount. We had shown the real estate agent the email that Kelly had sent stating that we would need to keep our offer to 180 -190 K to keep our monthly payments down below $1100. When I was able to reach Kelly, she was on vacation and stated that she would get back in contact with me. This never happened. I had to finally contact the office for the third or fourth time. Needless to say, we were unable to make an offer in the house. Kelly finally decided to respond via text and explained that the USDA guidelines had changed due to Covid. I asked when this had occurred but she did not respond. I asked to meet with her, but she refused and stated that she did not do meetings in the evening. I was unable to get her to respond directly and it got to the point where she would not answer her telephone. When I finally decided to use another phone to call her, I was able to reach her. She stated that she was eating dinner. I asked her when the change had taken place, but she just responded that the guidelines had changed due to Covid. I told her that I wished that she had kept me informed because we were trying to make an offer on a house. The real estate agent had seen the emails from the agent and had commented on the lack of professionalism. He suggested that I leave Prime Lending and suggested other lenders for us. I usually do not do bad reviews, but this experience was so bad that I had to inform the public. I guess the first clue that I should not have gone to Prime Lending was when they did not show up at the closing of my brother's house. I would recommend staying as far away from Prime Lending as possible. The agents in Anderson, SC are uninformed and disorganized, and they will not keep up updated on any changes. You have two choices of agents in Anderson: One who is boarder line offensive and rude or the other one who is disorganized and does not return calls. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life and I strongly recommend not using this lender.

Jodi Poore and her team were professional, informative, and always quick to answer any questions we had on the refi of our home. I couldn’t have asked for a more smooth process or closing. As a Realtor, that’s exactly what I was looking for in a lender!

I refinanced my house from a 30 year fixed to a 20 year fixed and got the best rate and service. I would highly recommend them to my family and friends.

We went through the whole application process with them, did not find a house, and abandoned our search for awhile. Thirteen months later, we got a followup email from them, and they thought they were following up on an application from a month prior, when in reality it was a year and a month prior. We went through the application process again. They never answered any of our questions, but we didn't have a house in mind, so we stuck with them. Finally we found the house we wanted. We told them we wanted to make an offer and needed our pre-approval letter, and we never got a response. We finally went to a different mortgage company. We closed on the house on July 13. Today, October 20, they sent an email to my husband asking if we are still looking for a house! No, we told you we wanted to make an offer in May, and you ignored us! They are obviously super disorganized, and I would not want them handling my mortgage.

NEVER use them for your mortgage. I called to get pre approved for a mortgage and they was trying to give me a 4.5% interest rate!!! I called another mortgage co lender and got a 3.3% interest rate!!! Saved me over 100 dollar's a month on my house payment!
