Unfortunately my experience with Mr. Blackmon and Atlanticbay was not the best based on the below points: 1. When my family started looking for a mortgage lender we went to four different companies with Mr. Aaron being one. His response time was consistently horrible. After filling out the initial loan pre-approval application the other 3 lenders called/email/texted me within 24 hours yet I had to contact Mr. Blackmon 4 days after submitting the initial paperwork to get an update and make first contact. I've asked him multiple questions along the way and he was consistently slow to reply and at times not replying at all. I like to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he may have a life issue preventing him for being fully dedicated to work at this time. 2. He wasn't fully truthful on two occasions. First, my wife has no credit and he swore to us that he could work with us and that would be no major issue. After finally getting a pre-approval we noticed that only my name was on the documents and when we asked him about it he kinda beat-around-the-bush with his reply Also, of the 4 vendors he was the only one to show us a rate WITH a discount point included. The others showed us the par rate and then told us how much discount prices were and how much they would lower interest rate. I found that to be very deceptive. Thought he showed us 6.5% the real rate was 7.0% He even sent an email saying to look out for deceptive practices yet he was the only one being a bit deceptive IMO 3. He offered the highest rate out of all the vendors, 7.0%, yet the others offered 6.65%, 6.5%, and 6.0% I share not to bad-mouth my brother, assuming other things are occupying his time in his life right now; sharing to prepare others to make informed decisions
