My initial experience working with Austin from Assets Assured Financial Services LLC, started off good with timely communication and feedback to my questions. However, it became a quick reminder that people in some businesses will disregard doing the right thing and even conduct unethical practices in the interest of a quick buck. My experience was a lesson learnt, and I will never work with another mortgage broker again. The profession is becoming obsolete, you can go directly to a lender (apply online and compare lenders) and cut out the middleman and unnecessary fees. I am still awaiting documentation I requested from Austin after the final sale, a transaction that was forcibly pushed to lenders to get approved, a sale that I expressed openly and repeatedly that I did not want. Hoping to make others aware, especially veterans before they end up in bad situation like I did.

As a Veteran-Owned mortgage brokerage, we take pride in our service to our clients, especially our military personnel. We regret that you feel that you did not receive the service we aim to provide. We have reviewed all email correspondence between you and Austin. He went into great detail explaining the fee and the options you had available to you in addition to the explanation of the disclosures you signed. In the past, Austin has spent his own money on client's appraisals, he has spent money on interim living conditions for clients waiting on closing, and has even done loans for $0 in compensation. "Making a quick buck" is contrary to his nature, as exhibited by his history here. Regardless, we will look into matter in great detail on your behalf. Our company did receive your request to withdraw your application, and you were advised doing so within 3 days of closing could lead to potential litigation from your contracted seller. Additionally, your realtor did request final closing documents, but advised us to disregard that request as that was something your attorney should have provided. We will reach out to discuss further.
