I greatly appreciated how responsive my loan officer Joe Watkins was - he was very friendly, patient, and easy to reach. He really took the time to explain how their pricing works and answer any questions I had during the loan process. The loan processor, Austin Rojas, was also very responsive and courteous. They helped ensure we made our closing date and also offered competitive pricing/discounts! Their manager also extended our rate lock by a day without charge since it was going to end just one day before our scheduled closing date. I'd still make sure to review your final closing disclosure/settlement statement and deed from the title company as soon as possible before closing as there are many details that the lender and title company have to work through and it's good to verify ahead of time that everything looks correct.

Sage is a new company to me, I have refinanced a handful to times and have never heard of Sage Mortgage before. I was have having trouble getting approved so I gave this business a try. While I still was not approved, I was extremely happy with the customer service I received from Brian. He worked very hard trying his best to get me an approval. While the bigger places barely gave me the time of day, Brain truly went above and beyond. He constantly checked in and let me know what was going on during every step of the process. Stay away if you are a business owner. After weeks of inattentive service, and uploading multiple years of k1s, assets, income statements, etc, they say they can't open up part of one of the documents. Keep in mind, all pertinent information from this document is visible and shown on MULTIPLE other documents. All data can be analyzed from the K1's and even so, multiple tax statements were uploaded for multiple businesses. There is enough collateral to cover the entire home purchase, but still it isn't enough. This is my seventh home purchase, and no other company has had an issue until Tim with Sage.
