There are quite a few issues I had with getting my auto loan here. This credit union financed my auto loan and it took over 30 days for them to get the funding to the car dealership in order for the dealership to get my car registered. So, my temporary tag expired before south carolina federal credit union even got the funds to the dealership to pay for my car registration. I am still, to this day, March 21, 2023 driving around on an expired temporary tag. The online experience was horrible. No matter what I tried, I could not get my account created due to the website being flawed. I had to call and have someone assist me. Lastly, I didn't even receive ANY information regarding my auto loan until AFTER the due date for my car payment but they have a grace period but due to website issues and the limited time I have to make phone calls during the business day... well I almost missed the March 10 payment deadline because of the terrible service of this establishment. I will absolutely be refinancing my vehicle with a different lender as soon as interest rates begin to lower because my experience has been so bad with south carolina federal credit union in such a short amount of time. I recommend going through a different lender and just paying a higher apr.

My wife and I went to SC Federal for an auto loan. We had barely made it through the door and the staff there were welcoming us and asked if we needed assistance. The welcome was real, too, not done just to do it. As we sat at our loan officer’s desk, I noticed as customers came through the building doors that several times the staff welcomed them by name! That impressed me because of the “Down Home and personal experience” the staff had with their customers. The staff were concerned about our comfort and offered us drink, too. My experience with these people were outstanding and because of how we were treated, we look forward to working with SC Federal for all our banking needs.

Excellent service. Fast and reliable. I have talked to two representatives and both showed knowledge and provided the necessary explanations. To take the loan was quick and efficient.

The process with simple from start to finish. Everyone was so nice and accommodating, and they gave me very clear instructions on how to complete every step of the process.
