This particular location is usually pretty busy anytime of the day. They are usually good at getting people in and out
Closing a refinance through them is an absolute nightmare. They changed our closing date without informing us. We only found out after driving 2 hours to be told it was moved to a whole other date. They sprung various inspections on us last minute, the loan officer was extremely difficult to contact. Overall I'm really displeased with their service. Offering a somewhat decent interest rate doesn't mean you can treat your customers like afterthoughts.

When I read some of the reviews I do not understand what these people are saying! I have banked with Wells Fargo and Bank of America and this bank has been the best hands down! Wells Fargo has always treated me like I should be thankful they are there to hold my money. I have never had any fees charged to my account unlike Wells Fargo who will charge a fee literally for everything you do there! This bank knows it doesn't have a lot of atm locations and makes up for it by giving you a monthly credit up to $10 if you have to use another institution's ATM. Anytime I had to go in the lobby or call the customer service number I have always been treated with respect.

The drive thru is always ridiculously slow. I waited 30 min, yesterday, behind just 2 cars. The service is not like the inside tellers give. Also, the atms (especially the drive through one) are broken at least half of the times I go there. I am grateful for mobile banking because it is a headache to use this location.

For background info, I'm a college student currently paying out of pocket for tuition. Also, I don't EVER write reviews but I was so shocked by my experience (still am) that I thought I should share. I came to this location the other day hoping to learn more about NFCU's student loans. I sat with Samuel, and I thought that he'd have some empathy and understand what I'm experiencing, since he was a younger guy. I told him about my current financial situation and told him that I was wanting to discuss student loans provided by NFCU. I kid you not, he literally said "Well, because you're unemployed, we aren't going to give you a loan. Unless you get a job or are thinking of getting a job, then we can discuss loans". To which I replied "So you guys don't have any student loans at all?" and he just shook his head. He didn't even refer me to someone else in the building who might know more about NFCU student loans or recommend any other resources to me--just flat out 'we can't help you at all'. Once I got in my car, I was in such disbelief at how dismissive my interaction was that I called NFCU online services. I was immediately transferred to someone who knew all about the NFCU student loan. The guy I spoke with on the phone had patience with me and he answered all my questions--he even went out of his way to calculate what my monthly principle payments would be after graduation! TL;DR : If you were thinking of coming here to discuss student loans, don't even. I recommend just talking to an NFCU representative over the phone. It's a lot easier to be transferred to someone who is knowledgeable in student loans and actually cares about your financial well-being.

They are committing fraud at navy federal by no longer cashing checks and instead forcing members to make deposits in order to inflate their deposits on their financial documents. I look forward to when they fail like these other banks in the news. Serves them right!
