John did amazing work on my f150 timing chain only shop ill ever bring my vehicles to!
Small shop with a very smart main mechanic. Often he’s got my issue figured out just from me describing the symptoms. And he’s almost always right. Fair price, quick work, straight answers. Solid place.
I'm happy with the work that John does on my vehicles. His prices seem fair, he is willing to listen and work with you to come up with a solution for your problem taking into account your budget, and he stands behind his work. I also appreciate that he can often get you in on fairly short notice.
Not being familiar with the area, I was referred to Delaps, I showed up there with no appointment and although visibility busy, they were quick to come outside, look at my car and encouraged an appointment and got me in quickly. I needed my exhausted repaired, they fixed it then noticed I also needed my muffler replaced. I was taken into the shop so I could physically see this was an issue and within a couple days I had it all fixed. A few months later a brake line broke on my car, I drove it to Delaps and they allowed me to keep it there until the repairs were able to get done which was a few days, but no additional charges to keep my vehicle there. Front to back lines completely repaired at an incredibly reasonable price. I’ve also had brakes done there, they’re wonderful at doing what you ask, but also check over things to insure your safety on the roads. From the moment they smiled and offered their prompt and polite help, I knew Delaps would become my mechanic and 2 years later they still are and who I recommend to everyone!
Scheduled an appointment a month in advance for a tire alignment and to check my break pads. After waiting for an hour I got quoted almost $3000 for a wide range of things and was told I shouldn’t be driving my car. A few mechanics and opinions later, turns out there was nothing wrong with my car besides the need for new tires (which I already knew) and an alignment (Which Delap was supposed to do and never did in the first place). Very disrespectful, I feel taken advantage of. Highly do not recommended.
We were on vacation and our brake light came on. John was welcoming and topped off our brake fluid without charging us anything. I felt obligated to pay him 30 bucks anyways for his graciousness. If I lived in parole he would be my mechanic based on just this experience alone.
