My truck rolls so so so much smoother now Stopped in, identified the problem, set an appointment. Dropped my truck off.. work was done quicker than expected. 5 stars
I sent a message to Eli’s on Saturday afternoon and they got our minivan in first thing on Monday morning. They diagnosed the problem, gave me two options for repair, and finished the repairs by mid Monday afternoon.
Been here 2 times now they have been great both times
Good work
Summary, I spent $600 and my car ran for 3 days. Because I live out of town they were not willing to work with me and I ended up right where I started. Full story: I had an old Honda and ended getting off the freeway trying to get to the nearest Walmart to get some coolant because my car was overheated. I ended up 0.25 miles from Walmart broken down and unable to start my car. I called Eli’s and they had a cancellation and we’re able to tow me and get me in right away, which was great. They found a crack in the top of the radiator and billed me $600 for the tow and radiator replacement. They were kind and quick to get me on my way. I drove another hour to my destination that day no problem. Then 3 days later on my 3 hour drive home the car overheated again about 25 min away from home. I got home by stopping regularly to let it cook. Opened the hood and found that the coolant overflow spout on the brand new radiator had melted and my coolant was gone. I called them back and they said if I could get the car back to them (2 hour drive and I can only go 5 min without overheating) then they would look at it and if it was a bad radiator they would replace it for free. However they said they would do a test to check my head gasket to see if exhaust was in my coolant and if it failed that test I would not be covered. My issue, why didn’t they do this test before replacing my radiator? They new I had overheated the car until it died and this could be a possibility. I also found this diagnosis after googling my issue for an hour, so I’m disappointed they didn’t suggest this as a possibility upfront as the expert. While I don’t think they were trying to rip me off, the bottom line is I was out $600 and only got 4 hours of driving out of it. They took no responsibility, best they would offer was to call local auto part store and tell me if (a big if) I did all the labor to remove the radiator and the supplier agreed it was a faulty radiator, then the supplier would reimburse me, but no concessions from Eli’s automotive.
Great service and value from a well recommended service shop. I would recommend Eli’s to anyone!
