Good park. Nice playground and picnic area. Beach was clean and was not much crowded. Have to take stairs if parked at upper lake park. Another parking is available on downtown side which also has beach access.
Picnic tables near the bluff bolted to a concrete pad (understood due to vandals) but all in full sunshine, which was too much in the mid-to-upper 80s. And parking so far away from many tables...
The upper Lake Park has a really nice beach house where you can go to the bathroom and change into your swimsuit. The beach however had a warning about bacteria levels and it's quite a walk from the parking. We ended up walking most of the way to the beach and then someone told us that we'd better go to the South Beach.
Very nice and refreshing to walk along the beach. Beautiful!
Awesome play area for the kids-there's a section for younger kids and one for older kids.
Never a disappointment. One of my all time favorite places to go and just relax and enjoy the views
Very fun good open space to enjoy the sun. There's an outdoor gym for calisthenics which was neat.
Great place for a walk if it's pretty out. Beach is also never too busy.
Upper Lake Park in Port Washington, Wisconsin, USA is a picturesque place which offers an excellent view of the majestic Lake Michigan. One can drive a car to the top of this small hill on a bluff at the shore of the huge Lake Michigan with its deep blue water with occasional white sailed yachts. There are facilities for playing like a slide and a swing or places to have a picnic. The park is covered with green foliage during spring and summer, when lots of wild flowers grow. From the park one can have a beautiful bird's eye view of the harbour and the lighthouse of Port Washington. In summer, one can see a large number of birds, especially the Red Winged Blackbird and sea gulls. The park offers year round activities like Fish Day Celebration, 5K Race, Car Shows etc. There are a number of picnic areas.
There is a stairwell to walk down to get to the bottom of the bluff, by North Beach. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan from here. Your data may not work great here. Spotty connection.
