I was a bit disappointed with my first visit to Minocqua Tire and Auto. We just moved to the area and are looking for a reputable place to get our cars taken care of. I made an appointment for a full synthetic oil change and was quoted 50-55 dollars over the phone for full synthetic in my make/model. When I got to the shop they said it's 63 because it's 5-20w. It would be good to know in the future to have a more firm price on the service. Additionally I have no notes or records to indicate that the basic inspection that is meant to be performed on the car was completed. Edit: the owner responded and I have amended my review from one star to four along with the text.

May 23, 2023Trevor I'm very sorry to hear of this problem/miscommunication. Our outside security cameras document your vehicle was not driven off the premises. So I am unable to explain the odometer discrepancy. A 30 point inspection was done on your vehicle. The technician felt there was no significant problems so no additional work was done. Usually we take inspection pictures only if we find problems requiring additional work. Our internal security cameras also document Mobile One Full synthetic oil was used in your vehicle. The price you were quoted for an oil change was for our usual Dexos 1 synthetic blend oil. I understand that when you arrived you made it clear you wanted a brand name you recognized. We have Mobile One Oil available for this situation. But we buy it in much smaller quantities and the price is thus somewhat higher. I am truly sorry for that confusion. Please contact us so we can make it right. Mark Rassier
