The customer service was excellent and Mark was easy and to the point. 10/10 would support a local business again.
We’ve been taking our cars to Mark since moving to Madison several years ago. Can’t say enough positive things about his shop—fair, honest, communicative, responsive…and if for whatever reason he can’t do a job, he’ll recommend someone he trusts, which is invaluable. I grew up with my dad as an independent mechanic, so am particular about who services our vehicles. Crestwood Auto all the way!

Apr 23, 2024Hey Thanks for the kind words !! We really try to do the right thing. I know it is hard to find these day.
Great and honest mechanic. It's hard to find good mechanics like this place that don't try to rip you off. Would definitely come back here and recommend this place.

Mark is the best. He is always responsive, friendly and honest. We are beyond lucky to have a local shop that treats customers like long-term relationships rather than one-off transactions. Great, consistent communication, fair pricing and top notch service every single time.

Feb 23, 2024Thanks Noah, It is easy with people like you!! We consider y'all friends.
Mark is phenomenal—friendly but straight to the point, knowledgeable and a great mechanic. As a youngish woman going to a mechanic can be nerve wracking, so if that’s why you’re looking up reviews I can assure you this is a great place to go. Hope I don’t have to see him for a while but will surely be back—thanks Mark!

Feb 23, 2024Thanks Bailey it's easy with customers like y'all !!
Shop is not prepared for anything other than simple mechanical tasks. Do not pay for their used car vehicle inspection as it is a low quality service provided by the shop. Owner charges for inspections and then sends you to the parking lot where the vehicle breaks down for the repair you just paid for. Avoid this shop as there are better options available. ****Update**** Took my vehicle to a different shop and it was confirmed that Crestwood had the inability to perform a simple repair.

May 23, 2023Thanks Joel for you review, Looking at your profile looks like not a lot of people meet your expectations. With that said, as I stated when you called we can see what we can do on your classic 25+ year truck, you had just bought. We did an Used Car Safety inspection and advised you what the safety items we seen. As for the other items we charged you for what we did and advised you on where a better option would be. Because of lack of resources and experience on classic cars (25+ year cars). Not to mention in your words "looks like the person I bought it from didn't really know what they were doing when they tried to repair it" (up until this point). An analogy (your going to a neck Dr. to fix your foot). Yes, they may have knowledge on it but not the best fit. That is way I gave you options and did what we could to get you back on the road. We keep current on certifications and tools to repair newer cars. When it comes to classic cars! Yes you are correct we can do basic stuff on them. Thanks Crestwood Auto Clinic
Amazing service! They're always up-front with you about costs and are very prompt with communications, I go to them for everything I need for my car.

Sep 23, 2023Thanks for the positive feed back!!
Mark is a man of integrity, and he is a master mechanic. He was up front about the risks of possible additional costs, he informed me about the option to use after market parts to save money, and he communicated at my level of understanding to help me better understand the issues and what could be done about them. 10/10 Would recommend

May 23, 2023Thanks Stuart, we always try to advise what the best option and risks.
I took my car in for a coolant leak diagnostic, they said it was the radiator hose and replaced it. A week later I discovered that the issue was not fixed, so I brought it back and they said that the water pump was damaged. I’m out $600 for repairs that didn’t fix the problem. They maintain that the radiator hose did need to be replaced, but to me it just seems like a bogus repair for a misdiagnosed issue. Update: I will change my reviews to three stars since ultimately you helped me find the problem. Nonetheless it would be a massive coincidence if the water pump suddenly started leaking in the two weeks after I brought my car in to diagnosis leaking coolant. The reason that I’m unhappy is that I paid for repairs without anybody realizing that one of the issues (or maybe the only issue), was with the water pump.

May 23, 2023We are sorry you feel this way, I do understand how you feel and maybe I didn't explain it so you could understood. But we will also not change the way we do things here. Because we do repairs on what we see, nothing more nothing less. Your visits specific. We got your trunk with no coolant and you said that it ran hot. We repaired what we seen that was leaking. You brought back in 2 weeks (1/25-2/8) 300 miles later and we found the water pump leaking. Knowing the water pump is a common issue with your motor (we do inspect common issues 1st) If it was leaking 2 weeks ago we would of told you then and I wouldn't be responding to your review. There is what we call a flow chart in our industry. Gives us a path to performing specific diagnostics. We do this on all vehicles that come in with any issues. We did not see yours leaking at that time. Reading your comments in your review, either you didn't understand what I was saying, I wasn't clear or you just stopped listening. What I said is the water pump was leaking not that it was damaged. You can't see the cause of leak until it is removed. Yes It is a common issue that they break internally and start leaking but could not verify that until it is removed. I do hope you read this Paul and reconsider your review rating if not?? No problem I do hope the next repair shop is a better fit for you. Thanks, Crestwood Auto Clinic
