Josh repaired our RAV4 (and is also repairing my Explorer after I hit a pole)after a deer hit and man did he go above and beyond! He made sure to communicate with me every step of the way and when I got the car back it was spot on. I worked in a dealership for 6 years and had the pleasure of working with all sorts of caliber of body shops for repairs. Josh definitely is at the top end of the list when it comes to them for me. I see there is a review on here saying quite the opposite but I can tell you from someone with experience in the industry. He goes above and beyond for his customers. Place is awesome. Filled in more scratches on my vehicles than i can count from kids bikes to door dings from parking lots. Highly recommend.

Great experience working with Josh. He was responsive to questions, honored the quote he presented for a new fender and hood, and the paint matched perfectly. I recommend BD Automotive to everyone and plan to drive to work with Josh even after a move. I was nervous looking for work done as a woman, but he presented a fair price and a job well done!

Josh does good quality work and has personally worked on my car multiple times from bumper work, fixing engine problems, to putting tires on my car. Solid worker and easily approachable and dependable.

I had Josh paint match my bumpers, grill, mirrors, and door handles on a pickup truck that I owned and it turned out phenomenal. Truck was driven for a couple years, and never even got so much as a rock chip on the front from the amount of clear that he used to try and protect it. Price was more than fair, I even told him he was too cheap. Will for sure use again when needed!

Wouldn’t let Josh paint anything I own again. Quote one price and then charge more because a almost 30yr old truck had more rock chips than he expected . Forgot to paint rockers, fish eyes in EVERY panel. Never painted fender well lips or back of cab rockers (cab n chassis truck) which are visible on the truck because it has a flatbed. Started to sand and buff and burned through and left areas that were sanded but never buffed..he had tons of pictures of truck before paint and after. I contacted him the very next day after picking the truck up from the shop. (Halloween didn’t have time to look over) Told him to come over so we could be on the same page about what I was seeing and he refused said he could blend in the spots that I was unhappy with…truck was put in storage and finished 1 year later and I messaged to let him know it was coming back for the “blending “ that he said he would do, responded by saying it should have been done right after (which is what I asked for the very next day after picking it up)this guy is a fast talking joke as a body man and I HIGHLY recommend to avoid BD Automotive and Restoration in Chippewa Falls. Color was based off of black but asked if it could be a bit more green metallic and he said sure which I thought was awesome but when he refused to fix the issues I asked for the paint formula so it could be matched by the next body shop where it gets fixed of all Joshs mistakes. He refused and said it was owned by his shop and the other shop would have to figure it out.
