Avoid this place. Had my car for over a month, Sold me a wack transmission for my 11 wrx. Does not reply to emails. oh and you’ll probably find expired food in your backseat that makes your car smell like there’s a body in there! This will now be my second review of this so called “Business” since Keith Werner wanted to lie in the response to my first review. The reasoning behind the “63 emails and 8 messages” is because the guy does not answer a phone, email, message to save his life, and it’s not just for a few hours, a day, it’s multiple days at a time. When you finally want an update on your car and you get it, don’t expect him or anyone for that matter from this place to update you. You will have to ask for updates and how everything is going. Keith is clearly talking out of his rear end in his response to my first review, hence why there is so many lies. So let’s go through them together! I bought a 2011 wrx with 55k miles on the odometer. As soon as I got the car I was aware something wasn’t right with an odd noise. I had multiple shops diagnose the problem and they all said it was the transmission. I put maybe 500 miles on my car before I had it towed to “Soobie Surgeons” and even then, I did know how to drive my car, I also bought the car from a private seller, not a Dealer as Kiethy boy claims since he knows all. The transmission was good for a little over a month, but then suddenly every single time and still to this day, when I down shift to 4th there is a god awful grinding noise, obviously this isn’t supposed to happen. Is it a coincidence that this started happening immediately after this warranty was up? Kinda fishy if you ask me, Keith Werner also has a degree in Psychology so he is very good at manipulating people and telling them just what they want to hear. I emailed him about 30 days after I noticed this issue, because I knew the warranty was up so I didn’t see a point in reaching out since his communication was so poor the entire time anyways, but I figured it was worth a shot, and to no surprise like the absolutely fake person, coward he is. He never replied to that email by no surprise. This guy and his “business” that should be shut down for fraud and scamming everyone and their mom. They held my car for almost 3 months. First he claimed the first transmission was “damaged during shipping” which was probably another lie. So I waited weeks for another one and he finally had it done. The only reason it was done when it was is because I lied to him and said I have a road trip that i’m going on and need my car back. I can tell you right now not once before I dropped that car off did I ever have a piece of food in it, when I got it back there was a god awful smell for days until I discovered some type of disgusting expired soup in a plastic bowl container, the container was not mine and it sure as hell wasn’t there when I got the car. So one of your little work elves did eat in my car, or you did, Keith. I knew how to drive the car before it was brought to him so i’m not sure why he mentions twice about me “not knowing how to drive a manual”. One quick google search on “Soobie Surgeons mnsubaru” and there’s a whole forum online of people getting their cars stolen, getting scammed, getting sold lemons, everything under the sun. They used to go by a different name but changed it because people caught on to the scam. Next time you see Keith ask him about Freaks Outback, or what the story is behind the Spec B & Evans Bugeye, OR the ASE Master Technician Joe that he owes $9k to still!

I did expect this review based on the demeaner of this 16 year old new driver customer. These reviews matter to our business and my family. But I don't think the majority of my customers believe that small businesses should be blackmailed by reviews -- hence the last email issue but I did count 63 other emails and 8 text messages regarding this job. This driver was a new clutch driver with a new WRX and had a destroyed transmission and wiped out clutch within a week or so of purchasing from a dealer -- we replaced a very expensive original transmission with a JDM transmission (to save this customer money) and a new clutch from Subaru. The transmission shifted smoothly leaving the shop. The transmission had a 30 day warranty from our vendor and the owner was aware of that and could have notified us of an issue within the 30 day period. I was emailed after several months that there was an issue with the transmission and his email acknowledged hat he was outside of the warranty. The importer will not take a used WRX transmission back after the warranty period. There was a shipping delay from Maryland where this transmission was purchased. Not sure about the food issue since the car was not really drivable when the car was towed in and was picked up within hours of the car being completed for a road trip with his girlfriend -- so we did not have a chance to snack in one of our customers cars. We installed a used transmission -- there is no workmanship issue with the installation -- I think the only way this customer would be satisfied is if we purchased transmissions for him until he has mastered manual transmission driving. I did check with five other Subaru shops across the country and not one shop would buy another transmission for this customer. I really do care but I'm not sure what else I can do in this situation. A different approach by the customer might have had us install another transmission for free if he paid for a transmission. No other shop would have made that offer way outside the warranty period.

Keith and his team are excellent mechanics. They are well educated and do the job thoroughly. Sadly, my praise ends with that. July 30th 2023 I brought in a lemon car with engine, A/C, and unknowingly clutch issues. My vehicle was not operational until October 30th 2023. Note “operational” not complete, because when my vehicle was returned, it had a loose front panel, slight oil leak and excessive engine smoke emitting from the hood due to a reported excess spill in catalytic converter until I surpassed 1,000 miles leading to bring the vehicle back to in to fix the leak. The leak alone timed 2 weeks to fix. Overall, my car wasn’t returned until November 22, 2023. During the time I rented a vehicle which I did not expect to rent over 2 months. I have spoken to other mechanics during the 4 month repair. They have all informed me that the most intensive engine work should not exceed over a month. I was patient with Keith and his team understanding the vehicle I brought in, short staffing, and I appreciate him making a deal to cover my rental but I was too patient. 4 months is a long time. I do not appreciate having to lose my patience and temper to finally receive results with my repair. It is clear Keith and his team are great mechanics but are overbooked and scraping by with over promises and under delivering. I am all about supporting small local businesses, but timing is everything. Until this issue is resolved I would recommend elsewhere.

Took my wife's 2003 forester to Keith with a few problems and fixed them quickly. He also did a complete overall check on everything from ignition to suspension. Also had us bring him some past records to see if the past work was all done right well he found for the timing belt change they didn't change the tensioner pulley . So he saved our engine . I will take her car back there always. Fair pricing and work done in a timely manner to the work required.

wonderful people; my car broke down and they accepted it when every other shop said they couldn't. I was from out of town and had to be eight hours away for work- they fixed it within two days (it was done early afternoon the next day). The owner's wife picked me up from my hotel to get my car and everyone working there were the most helpful, genuine, and honest people. If you're from around the area I could not recommend this place more.

I just had another great experience at Soobie Surgeons (10/22). Keith and his staff do and outstanding job at keeping my 2010 Forester running like new. It's a pleasure working with these folks who take great pride in keeping their customers 100% satisified. My Subaru Forester had a differential problem (2/21). I could not have been more pleased with the Services which Keith and his staff performed. Keith also saved me several thousand dollars based upon other cost estimates that were given to me by others Soobie Surgeons is now my go to Subaru Mechanic.

Took my car in to be fixed, awhile back, he ignored my texts and calls, took over a month for something he said would take a week. I couldn't get to college and had to tell my teachers I had no way to come in, luckily they worked with me. I had to take ubers to work because. It was only when my dad offered to help him and give him a hand to fix my car is when he finally got it done. Because of my dad. If not he probably would have kept this on for more months
