We've been taking our vehicles to Cross Plains Motors for the last few years. Mostly for routine maintenance, but our most recent interaction was next level excellence and we'll be a customer for life. Our Nissan Altima had a lower control arm rust through. Thankfully it happened while parked in our driveway. Chester made a house call to see if it was drivable "enough to limp down the street" to his shop. It wasn't drivable, so he picked it up the next day. He ordered the parts for the rear passenger side, and then communicated with us about the rest of the undercarriage and it's state. It was his recommendation to replace the passenger side too. All fine and good, right? Well just as he's about to make the repair, he checks recalls and finds that one exists for this specific issue. He calls us with the exciting news...shares that he made an appointment with the Nissan dealership for the following Monday and that he'll tow it to the east side of Madison himself. He saved us close to $1000, communicated with us several times through the process, recommended makes of cars as we plan to trade the Altima, and is just a friggin' delight of a man to work with. Chester, thank you for your communication, thoughtfulness and professionalism. We're so pleased and thankful for your excellent work.

Chester runs the best shop I've found. Like most, I feel like I've been jerked around by a lot of mechanics but Chester's main concern is keeping his customers happy. Vehicles are insanely complex so repairing them is never straight forward, but I'm very happy with his ability to solve problems and his genuine interest in my satisfaction.
