We were searching and searching for a used car for our daughter's 1st car. We went online and found one not only close but what we wanted. We went to the store, and the owners were amazing. We used their financing, and it beat our bank. Since it was a surprise for our daughter, I asked a huge favor. I asked for a huge bow and ribbon on the car. The owners went and got that, and when we arrived, my daughter saw the bow on the car, not realizing it was for her. To her surprise, it was her new car. A 2013 Audi with 51k miles. The owner said if something happens in the next couple of weeks to let us know. They want us to be happy. After we bought it, I took it to a trusted mechanic dealership. They checked it all over. Zero issues and a great car. I would recommend this car dealership to anyone. Great people, trustworthy and just really nice people. Thank you again for assisting us with this purchase. Owners were even nice enough to pose for a picture with our daughter. See photos. Thank you again.

Buyer BEWARE! A MUST read UPDATED after Absolute Auto silly response filled with more false claims!! Before purchasing any auto from Absolute Auto make sure you do your own research and get a CarFax! We purchased a car from Absolute Auto that one year later, while attempting to trade it in at a legitimate 3rd generation owned car dealership in business since 1934, we were handed a CarFax showing that this car had been totaled by an insurance company due to an accident 1 yr prior to our purchase. This car was deemed by them as unsafe, unsellable and therefore worthless. This legitimate dealership including the sales, managers, and certified mechanics were shocked that this car was sold let alone without disclosure of that information. (This was all much worse than our first disappointment, when 3 days after purchase, the battery had to be replaced by us.) The owner of Absolute Auto amongst the denial of responsibility, false statements, and blame shifting, he actually did acknowledge his knowledge of this fact prior to the sale of the auto to us, going so far as to say his shop did the work on the wrecked vehicle, but did not disclose any of it to us. Even then, he went on to accuse the well established and legitimate dealer of being the wrong doer in the situation. There was absolutely no mention of any kind to us prior to the purchase that this car had been in an accident by Absolute Auto, let alone one that caused the insurance company to deem it a total loss. Absolute Auto charged top blue book value on a vehicle they knew it was not worth and he would not get if the purchaser was aware of its history. A complaint had to be filed against Absolute Auto and its owner with the State of Wisconsin resulting in a sanction being issued against this dealer for not disclosing this information. A complaint against Absolute Auto was also registered with the Better Business Bureau. Our only avenue to attempt to recoup the thousands of dollars lost is now through the courts. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the hassle and headache or worse the risk to your safety and go to a legitimate dealership that follows standards when inspecting and selling vehicles. Updated below after 3 weeks when owner finally responded after avoiding this review while responding to others in the meantime. Your reply is a joke and more lies. Ya you’re on the up and up that’s why you were sanctioned for the deceptive practice. Funny you claimed to have remembered what YOU told me when we had never spoken until first approached about this. Obviously this car was physically examined by their certified mechanics and staff and was not solely based on the carfax info you hid. Nice try! The only salesperson who was out for financial gain with false information was you. A thorough search of the dealer’s website and a phone call to them revealed that this car is/was NOT being sold by them. As for the sanction by the state of Wisconsin, it’s public record and we were told directly by the investigator of their future steps. As for the BBB, it can be looked up too, and since you are not a member (big shock) they simply keep the complaint on file. As for your suggestion that you offered to buy back the car, first no way was she going to continue driving an unsafe vehicle risking injury or worse. Second, the deal was done at the other dealer. Lastly, we couldn’t have had that on our conscious (as we have one) that this car was resold by you to some other unsuspecting buyer risking their safety and wasting their money. The FACT remains you admittedly knew the history of this car, the accident, the insurance company’s determination and repairs performed by you on this car and did NOT disclose it as REQUIRED. You were given the opportunity to make things right and you chose not to. Research shows car was bought by you from an auction specializing in damaged and salvage vehicles for $3850. They even ship these overseas. Again, do you the consumer really want to deal with this ridiculousness? Take your business to an HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY dealer!

T B, I have been in the car repair business for over a decade. I own a professional body shop. The car I sold to your daughter was structurally sound and had no title brands (clear title). There was damage to the tailgate when I bought it at an auction. It had no frame damage, and the airbags were not deployed. The vehicle was professionally fixed and inspected before it was offered for sale. Whenever I sell a car that was repaired in my shop, I am always transparent about the kind of repairs the car needed. In your review you claim that I failed to disclose the accident. It’s been over a year since the car was sold. I don’t remember our exact conversation, but what I know for sure is that neither I nor my son would ever try to hide the fact that the car was in an accident. I apologize if there was any miscommunication in regard to the car history. Your daughter drove the car for a year. The only issue that she had with it was a battery that needed to be replaced. But I am assuming that she went in for oil changes during that year. Has she ever been told by a mechanic that her car was structurally unsafe? I am sure the answer to this question is a no, because there was no structural damage. According to your review the salesperson at Hobbs Honda made claims about the car being unsafe and unsellable just by looking at the Carfax report and without physically inspecting the vehicle. That claim was false. I realize that the words “total loss” in a Carfax report may sound concerning and scary, but a vehicle can be proclaimed a total loss for many different reasons. A total loss car doesn’t automatically mean that it’s structurally unsafe/unrepairable/unsellable. You may learn more about what a total loss vehicle is at carfax.com. When you first contacted me about the trouble your daughter had at Hobbs Honda, I offered you a fair trade in amount for the car and tried to explain to you that the salesperson at Hobbs Honda is being unreasonable/untruthful and is trying to take advantage of your daughter. I offered you assistance with this matter and asked for the salesperson's name. Unfortunately, you chose to believe the person who used scare tactics for the purpose of a financial gain. How else would you explain the fact that on Monday following the trade-in, your “unsellable” Kia was getting ready to be put up for sale on Hobbs Honda’s lot? You can contact me for a video from Hobbs Honda lot. I stand behind the cars I sell. Please feel free to take any car on my lot to your mechanic before you buy. Moreover, I will always be glad to offer a fair trade in amount for a car that was sold by me even if you decide not to buy your next vehicle from me. And just to clarify, there were no sanctions taken against me by the DMV and BBB. Finally, I am genuinely sorry about the experience your daughter had at Hobbs Honda. I am not sure if there is something that can still be done to recover the money you lost, but if you decide to investigate this matter any further, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Oleg

This auto dealer is very honest and does not try to oversell vehicles. I would recommend to anyone. Also, super friendly people that went above what they needed to do for my vehicle purchase.

After our car died the week before Thanksgiving, my wife and I took two busses and walked two miles to buy an Acura RDX from Absolute Auto in Baraboo. Would we do it again? ABSOLUTELY!! From the no pressure test drive, to the transparency about the condition and prior history of the car, to the fair price and VERY generous trade-in on our old vehicle, the transaction was everything anyone could wish for when buying a used car. Highly recommended!

Absolute Auto was very friendly and helpful to me! I pulled into this auto dealership looking for help on a Saturday morning for some quick emergency service on my car. The guy stopped what he was doing and helped me immediately even though this is a dealership! Thank you very much for getting me back on the road. I was able to finish my weekend vacation and get my car back home because of you. I saw a large selection of beautiful cars for sale here - and I would feel comfortable shopping for a vehicle here based on my interaction with you.
