On the coldest day of the winter, while all other shops were either closed or did not want to help us, the gentleman at Bob's Service Center saved my family from a less-than-desirable situation. You do not often run into people willing to go out of their way to help thy neighbor. Fortunately, my father and I found such people. If you own a car, inevitably, you will need to get it repaired. When that does happen, please do yourself a favor and bring it to Bob's Service Center. You drive away knowing quality work was rendered and the price you paid was fair.

If you are looking for an honest mechanic with your best interest in mind, look no further. Dan is nice, communicates with the customer, willing to go the extra mile, and a very good mechanic. I am very pleased with my experiences here.

My daughter goes to school in Vermont but we live in Pennsylvania. Dan at Bob’s service center made a stressful situation so much easier for me. Everyone helped me get the car back on the road and kept in touch with me even though I’m almost 6 hours away. Way above and beyond what would be expected. Truly amazing service. Thank you for all you did!!!

I had a van failure requiring a tow. The tow team arrived amazingly quickly and loaded and unladed my van very efficiently. (a very interesting process given the van was stuck in Park) At the service center, Bob did a quick diagnosis and a couple of wiring adjustments, and gave good advice as to how to proceed. Despite a busy line of scheduled services, Bob was very caring, knowledgable, and efficient. Thanks Bob! I now feel confident to continue my trip back to Iowa.

I've been a happy regular here for six or seven years, but my experience last fall changed everything. I scheduled an appointment over the phone for a snow tire changeover, but when I arrived they had no record of it. To their credit, they managed to fit me in somehow. I appreciated that. A few weeks after the service, the car's tire pressure system started becoming unreliable. One by one, the tires stopped reporting their pressure. Because so many tires were involved, and the issue was intermittent, I thought there must be something wrong with the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) controller in the car. Some weeks later, I finally brought the car to the dealership (bring in the "big guns", right?). We were stunned to find that three of the TPMS sensors were just bouncing around, loose inside the tires! All three had been broken off by whoever worked on them last (at Bob's). Apparently, someone even tried to "glue" them back into place using bead sealer because they were covered with a thick coat of the stuff. The scheme even worked. Until it didn't. Needless to say, replacing all those TPMS sensors at the dealership represented a substantial cash outlay for parts and labor. Would Bob's have "made it right" if I brought it back there to begin with? I presume so, but with the substantial delay between their service and the symptoms, it didn't even occur to me that they were at fault. Only the discovery of the broken sensors and dried goop led to the inescapable conclusion that Bob's Service broke the sensors, then tried to cover their tracks with copious amounts of glue. It would be hilarious if it weren't so dangerous and expensive.

Failed my inspection because they couldn't get the a tire off. I proceed to show them that one could remove the tire with a standard socket. Additionally, the seemingly forgot how to remove the tire from the previous year when they performed my inspection. This is the worst service I have ever received by far. Thank you for great customer service today. My re-inspection went smooth and the customer service was great. I greatly appreciate the effort Bob. Thank you again.

May 24, 2017Thanks Mr Reynolds for sharing your experience with us. After talking with both Spanky and Roger it's pretty clear that Spanky through either haste or tunnel vision just dropped the ball. None of the wheel sockets Spanky had would fit the recess in your aftermarket wheels. He just didn't go the extra step to check sockets from any of the other techs or to have Roger check with you before the car was lowered from the lift and moved outside. I've left a message in your voicemail because I'd like to at least attempt to make this up to you by giving you a generous discount towards the exhaust repair your car needs to pass inspection. Thanks, Bob Perkins
The service is great. They quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it immediately.

Was trying to replace my rear brakes but one lug nut was stripped/seized. Called Bob's and they said come on down, Dan was awesome enough to bust it off and give me a replacement for free. Ill damn sure be coming here for any future work needed on the car(which at the rate its going will be very soon).
